What was your most imaginative date -- either real or fantasy?
My first date in graduate school. We walked from the dormitory to the video arcade. It must have been more than one mile each way. He got ten dollars worth of quarters and gave me one half. We each went to a different machine. When all the quarters were gone, we walked back to the dorm discussing the different game strategies. It was fun.
It was when I was in my early 20's and dating what I would describe at the time the 'love of my life'. It was just another Saturday. I was at home wondering how to fill my day when he rang me to say that he would be at my house in half an hour and to pack a small over night case. All of a sudden I was absolutely intriguied by this sudden enthusiasm for romance, (he was not he romanic type). I packed my case and went down stairs to meet him. We drove down to West Wittering and had a picnic on the sand. Now it was freezing, and I was very uncomfortable with sand getting everywhere but he had gone to so much trouble making the sandwiches and picking my favourate alcohol, pinot grigio, ( but wasn't that everyones)!! It probably wasn't the best date in the world but it was the fact that he had tried and when I asked why he, had gone to all this trouble he said it was because I always moaned that he did nothing romantic and as I loved the beach so much he thought he would surprise me.
We are not together anymore but I will always remember that day, not because he was a sweetheart for the first and last time but because for the first time ever he actually listened to me!

In fact when I see women reading these or worse yet when my Girlfriend annoyingly goes over one of these articles line by line with me it makes me cringe inside. Women,...
