Both. I'm a great listener and quite a talker also. I enjoy two way conversations much more than one way!

Definitely a listener, an observer, a writer.  I like people who keep talking.

I'm a chatterbox.  However, it takes two to have a conversation, so I tend to expect an exchange of thoughts on which to base my chattering.  Otherwise, it's the same as talking to myself and since I already know my own feelings on any given topic, I like to hear feedback.  The best conversations I've had have been the result of group discussions about subjects of interest to all in attendance.  What a way to broaden our perspectives!

I am both. I love to talk but there are times when I am needed as a listener to some. I try to be more of a listener than talker so I can clearly hear and understand what is said to me. If there were such a scale to evenly balance of the two it would be even on both side. I guess if i had to evaluate the difference between being a talker and a listener, I would choose listener it is easier to do

I can be a real talker but that's usually because I'm nervous or excited. I really prefer to listen and observe rather than provide all the conversation. Plus, I'm shy so I can't help but be a listener 90% of the time.

Both, I am generally a listener but will talk when need be. I am here for my friends or family whenever the need someone to talk to or share their burdens with. I am always willing to listen and give my input on a debate or question needed answering.

I was always a listener and old people especially always loved me because I took a real interest in their stories. Since Hp though I guess whether it is audible or not I talk so much! I still love to read my friends writings though so I have not stopped being a listener!

I listen a lot.  You know that quote, "Better to be silent and the world think you're a fool than open your mouth and remove all doubt?"  That's pretty much my motto. It seems when I open my mouth I bore people or I say something really stupid. tongue

I am usually a good listener and if the subject discussed is important to me, I will become a talker.
I've learned to stop and listen to someone because there are subtle clues and gestures that convey more in a message than mere words can.
Sometimes one needs to just be a sounding board and let the other person vent.

It truly depends on the situation. I am both a talker and a listener. Since I study Communication, it is imperative to understand what kind of message, how the message, and discover possible reactions through interpretation, is being delivered. If I must give a message (talk), i must know how to portray that message within the particular matter the interaction is portraying and I must do the same when i receive a message (listen). I think it is imperative to be both. You are either, culturally and/or raised as, to be a talker or a listener; however, it is important to work at your communication skills to become both.
