agree with tussin... and also don't talk negatively... focus on positive emotions.. nobody enjoys being with somebody who is negative, depressed etc

      tussin,
Sounds like you've had your share of dates. I can't believe women would talk about such things on a date. I'm embarrassed for  them. Thank you for your answer.  Lisa

sad  Well, Tussin, I guess you're saying you didn't have fun on our date. Sorry, but I'm poud of all the shots and coke I can do. It has taken me years to build up that stamina!

I was just jealous because I can't party as hard. I will work on being more gracious and accepting that some people are just better than me.

You definitely don't want to hear about a sex change. I agree. How could you ever forget she used to be a man?

I have to agree with tussin and nightwork4 regarding talking about exes or experiences with other men. Unless someone asks you about it there is no point in bringing up that stuff on a first date.
Every time a woman says, "I use to (date) a fireman or whatever"....etc What the man actually hears her saying is, "I use to (f*** ) a fireman...etc  Most guys aren't interested in hearing a "roll call" of your past (dates, romances, or exes).

      daashingscorpio,
You're right. I never talk about old boyfriends. They aren't worth making a new guy feel like crap. Also, of course she did that with the fireman. Who's she kidding? Thank you so much, LIsa

I agree with the previous answers that we definitely do not want to hear about exes. Also, pets or how much money the girl's family has. If she mentions Jersey Shore, shoes, or hair, we will immediately tune out. What we do want to hear is intelligent and engaging remarks about meaningful things. Funny stories help, but only if we also think they're funny. Above all, no exes.
