What is the difference between love and like?
Are they both same?
Depends on love or like something, a person? Love usually is to like something or someone head over heels, couldn't stop thinking about it for a single day. Like is more casual, not necessary compulsory to have it but would be happy if it is available.
Since this question is being asked under "gender relations" I'm going to assume you are referring to feelings between people as oppose to other items.
Love is a strong emotional connection which elicits romantic desire.
Like is nothing more than acknowledging you are "agreeable" or find someone's company to be pleasant.
