When my wife and I plan our finances we follow the Dave Ramsey method. I am more of the "nerd" in the relationship so I analyze all of the accounts and budget every month. Then when I have a plan worked up I hand the plan over to my wife and she goes over it and makes sure that she agrees with it. We usually make it a goal for her to change at least one thing with my budget. This makes us both feel like we contribute to the relationship even though I am the one that deals with the money and accounts.
