How can the society stop the murder rampage like that just committed by the disturbed young man in
Santa Barbara? Do you believe this was created by lack of family support? Or, maybe it was lack of personal accountability for other actions taken? What do you think the country needs to do to eliminate such actions by these troubled people? What can you do to protect yourself from this type of evil activity? How will you protect your family from such action?
In a free and open society it is impossible to stop something like this from happening unless the individual divulges his or he plans to someone ahead of time.
As it stands now it appears this killer bought his guns legally and successfully passed the background check. I'm not sure what more could have been done. Sure we could pass tougher laws.
The only people who follow laws are (law abiding) citizens. If someone has given up on hope and having a better life they may be suicidal. Whenever a person is prepared to die then there is no telling what they are cable of ding to others.
It cannot be stopped. Most of those people suffer from a lack of social skills or low self esteem. Instead of developing those skills, they choose to attack others. They are the problem, not others. It is popular for man to blame others for his unhappiness. He hates others because he is unhappy. He thinks they are the reason he is unhappy. But happiness can only come from within. Since he does not know that his happiness only comes from himself, he will always look to attack others for revenge of his own internal unhappiness.
Overall I think there many psychos out there and trusting anyone is not easy knowing how many times some mentally disturbed went around and killed at random. Innocent people were killed in all cases with random killings and it is sad to see such events happening. They should be stricter on gun control.
