Is gendericide a problem internatonally or in certain countries. What should be done to avoid this?
Gendericide is a huge problem today in many countries. Many of them are victims to this. In few countried it is in the form of male or female domination and in few countries it is other one. But everywhere this problem does exist and count of victims is rising.
What do you think? How can we make this problem vanish? What precautions should be taken to start a revolution? First of all do you see any kind of gendericide issue at your place? If yes, How to spread awareness? What is your opinion?
Is this mostly a brother killing a sister on orders of their father? And is this a cultural problem or religious issue? Or both? I just heard of another case in Pakistan where a village council ordered the death a young girl.
Yes your absolutely right. You have mentioned one of the gendericide issue. There are such many issues worldwide.
Very sad situation. As someone who grew up in the States, I don't understand any of it. It seems very Middle Ages and culturally backward. Unless the governments of these nations crack down, how will it be stopped.
It is only a problem in Asian and Middle Eastern societies that don't give women equal value in society to men (so no, not all cultures are equal). You don't have gendercide in the West except for Asian immigrants who retain their old society's values, which is why there is sex selected abortion among Chinese and Indian immigrants, though not as high as their home countries.
The problem has existed in Asia for centuries, though it required actively killing a baby girl. Today, with ultrasound, it is much easier to have the ultrasound in the second trimester and an abortion than give birth and kill the kid - so the rate of it is higher.
What can be done to eliminate the issue?
* Punish doctors who do it.
* Eliminate the dowry system that drives many families to kill girls, because they see them as a financial liability.
* Have Western feminists stop whining about micro-aggressions in the West and actually fight for the lives of baby girls in the developing world.
Thanks for the information regarding in which countries this problem exists. What do you think as an individual how can we spread awareness.

Why is voter I.D. such an issue?I have been an American citizen my whole life (58 yrs.) and cannot get a job in the U.S. without a current picture I.D. and an actual social security card. So, why would I feel that I should be able to vote for the leader of my country without one? As long as this...
