What is wrong with a husband who does not understand menopause and is still insisting on having sex?

Nothing wrong with him. Men don't have menopause. They still have physical desire. He could go after a younger woman, I suppose!

Menopause does not mean you cannot or should not have sex.
If menopause is causing dryness or discomfort during sex, talk to your doctor.

Every woman eventually goes through menopause but it doesn't mean it's the end of their sex life! Most women if they are dealing with an issue that makes sex uncomfortable seek out medical advice.
In addition the drug Flibanserin has been approved by the FDA to treat premenopausal women with low sexual desire.
Some women have been known to report that they enjoyed sex more after going through menopause.
There is no need to have a "sexless marriage" unless that's what (you) want and even then it may cause your husband to eventually stray. Most married couples don't plan or want to be sexless.
