As the title says, what does a formal introduction mean to you? Is it important in society, and what would you consider a formal introduction?
Formal introductions are made by a mutual friend, as in Stevennix, I would like you to meet my friend... Used to be people didn't meet anyone without a formal introduction. People used to all carry "cards" to introduce themselves as well, if they were trying to get a formal introduction they would stop by and drop off their card, in hopes that you would contact them so they could be formally introduced.
