I'd like to ask if any of the women on Hubpages men do their own laundry, and if they do, do they empty their pockets or leave junk in them.

Well, I'm female. Hope you can tell that by my photo lol

I live with two male roommates. We take turns doing laundry. They always leave stuff in their pockets, but so do I smile

      I do hubby's laundry.
      He never empties his pockets.
I dunno if it's a deliberate thing or not.
All I know is that I used to give him any coins or bills of money I found in his pockets.  Then I finally got wise and started keeping it.

I think I will answer this one for myself. I am male first off and I do my own laundry if that helps answer your question.

There are no ladies on HubPages that can answer this question for me, myself or I.

Btw- I don't leave anything in my pockets. smile

Welcome to HubPages. I do hope you enjoy your time here. smile

Yes.  But I usually do it for him.  He is very grateful for this service, but will do it himself if I'm really busy.  He learned long ago how much he took for granted in my skills as a homemaker (meaning, he lost my services for an indeterminate amount of time after complaining about division of duties and...blah, blah, blah) but he now very much appreciates the work I put into his well-being.  By the way, I very often leave things in pockets.  Not on purpose, but damn I'm busy!

My husband rarely does laundry, but he does empty his pockets before he puts his clothes in the hamper... I think me almost washing his cell phone encouraged in that behavior.  lol

I have taught my oldest son to do laundry, so he helps out regularly.  Need to teach #2, now that he is tall enough to reach the controls.

my kids dad did not do laundry.  he did not empty his pockets.

my oldest son does not do laundry, but I have encouraged him to help (he has Aspergers) he does not empty his pockets - I have washed his cell phone more than once.
my youngest son does occasionally do some of his laundry - when I fall behind!  he empties his pockets.

You may like to know the Chinese position on this smile Men and women normally get assigned roles, many men do the cooking or aspects of the cleaning etc, but the most illuminating thing is that it is MY job to hand wash HER underwear every day.  At first I found this idea kinda cute and amusing but now I realise what a deep impact it has on our relationship - the quite opposite thought behind this OP reveals it.  A lot comes from the simplest things sometimes smile

I agree, when I was on Okinawa the base provided us with a laundry service.

Your right China man.  The little things do make a big difference in how one feels.  My husband acts as though nothing shows him more love than to have plenty of clean socks and underwear waiting for him.

Now that we've washed his wallet a couple of times, he cleans out his pockets.

After the pink underwear debacle, he separates clothes better than I do.

Laundry duties are split, depending on what's going on in our lives.
