I'd like to ask if any of the women on Hubpages men do their own laundry, and if they do, do they empty their pockets or leave junk in them.
Well, I'm female. Hope you can tell that by my photo
I live with two male roommates. We take turns doing laundry. They always leave stuff in their pockets, but so do I
I do hubby's laundry.
He never empties his pockets.
I dunno if it's a deliberate thing or not.
All I know is that I used to give him any coins or bills of money I found in his pockets. Then I finally got wise and started keeping it.
i do mine by hand, in the bathtub mate..I wuld use a washing machine, if i was willing to fork out $400 for one..which i am not..in the future yeah..but when my lease runs out in 6 months, i am going somewhere..no idea where to yet..So in the mean time, i just do my washing in the bathtub!
Do you do it in the bath with you in there too Marcel?
Well, I washed my sons wallet yesterday For real poor kid
I think I will answer this one for myself. I am male first off and I do my own laundry if that helps answer your question.
There are no ladies on HubPages that can answer this question for me, myself or I.
Btw- I don't leave anything in my pockets.
Welcome to HubPages. I do hope you enjoy your time here.
Yes. But I usually do it for him. He is very grateful for this service, but will do it himself if I'm really busy. He learned long ago how much he took for granted in my skills as a homemaker (meaning, he lost my services for an indeterminate amount of time after complaining about division of duties and...blah, blah, blah) but he now very much appreciates the work I put into his well-being. By the way, I very often leave things in pockets. Not on purpose, but damn I'm busy!
My husband rarely does laundry, but he does empty his pockets before he puts his clothes in the hamper... I think me almost washing his cell phone encouraged in that behavior.
I have taught my oldest son to do laundry, so he helps out regularly. Need to teach #2, now that he is tall enough to reach the controls.
my kids dad did not do laundry. he did not empty his pockets.
my oldest son does not do laundry, but I have encouraged him to help (he has Aspergers) he does not empty his pockets - I have washed his cell phone more than once.
my youngest son does occasionally do some of his laundry - when I fall behind! he empties his pockets.
You may like to know the Chinese position on this Men and women normally get assigned roles, many men do the cooking or aspects of the cleaning etc, but the most illuminating thing is that it is MY job to hand wash HER underwear every day. At first I found this idea kinda cute and amusing but now I realise what a deep impact it has on our relationship - the quite opposite thought behind this OP reveals it. A lot comes from the simplest things sometimes
I agree, when I was on Okinawa the base provided us with a laundry service.
Teri
Your right China man. The little things do make a big difference in how one feels. My husband acts as though nothing shows him more love than to have plenty of clean socks and underwear waiting for him.
Hi luv, I do everything for HIM hehe, including emptying his pocket
i do the laundry..my guy cannot be trusted~ hes great just no laundry for him..anyway his pockets are always full of trinkets from his day ..
Surely this question would best be asked of the sock puppets on the site?
It is always a good thing to find money in the washing machine.
It is but mine brings home bullets and all manner of crazy trinkets.
I do all the laundry in our house. And no, pockets aren't always emptied. I find everthing from keys, pens (sharpie's at that) screws, change, even sunflower seeds lol!
My washing machine is broken now. I gave it a huge karate kick hoping it would spit out lost socks......grrrrrrrrrr.
Nooo, I wish it was though, then I'd have an excuse to take my washing to my Mum's and ask her to do it! hehe
omg no he don't empty his pockets... the other day dimes fell out the day before cable gizmos fell out lol hes gettin better bout it though
I have emptied a mans pockets before but it had nothing to do with laundry!
Now that we've washed his wallet a couple of times, he cleans out his pockets.
After the pink underwear debacle, he separates clothes better than I do.
Laundry duties are split, depending on what's going on in our lives.

My question is, who is doing the laundry these days and for whom? Or are we evolving into a nation of people, young and old, who claim "I do my own laundry, period."wondering

Wow! What a horrible question! But as I fight breast cancer, this question keeps haunting me ...Although I have often wondered the answer to this question, it now become more imperative. Altho in the past I have been absent recently, I want to write more on HP. But, as I am fighting for my...

When I look at the questions section of hubpages I see pages and pages of silly questions. A lot of the time, when I click on "unanswered" or "latest" I see that the same person has asked ten or so questions in a row. I suspect that in most cases this is because of the fact that...
