What type of music do you like to hear at a wedding? Swing, Jazz, pop, strings? Do you prefer a DJ or a live band?
I probably have a one sided opinion, since I do this. But I’d prefer recorded music for the simple fact of the versatility of being able to have all of the above. However you might consider moving beyond just a DJ and engaging the growing trend of entertainers working with a combination of normal recorded music and recorded backtracks for vocal performances.
I have nothing against musicians, as a matter of fact I envy their talent, but many times their repertoire is quite limited and a your “once in a lifetime” wedding is not a good place for limitations.
