I would just want to know, why do so many people hate homosexuals. The only real argument that I´ve heard is, sorry, but the dumb and idiotic religious statement. And if one hates some just like that, I think a visit to the mental house or psychologist, would do some good. Are there any solid arguments against homosexuality and gay marriage?
Ignorance and Ego.
Nothing more and nothing less.
It's hard to overstate just how upset religious conservatives are about gay marriage. Gary Bauer's e-mail newsletter about the Massachusetts Supreme Court ruling declared, "Culture Wars Go Nuclear." Brian Fahling of the American Family Association said it was "on an order of magnitude that is beyond the capacity of words. The Court has tampered with society's DNA, and the consequent mutation will reap unimaginable consequences for Massachusetts and our nation."
One argument against - is gays don't procreate,
and if the purpose of life is to procreate so that spirits can come to earth and be saved by
Christ, then gays of course do do not perform
said function. Most anti-gay arguments perform some illogic such as this.
I could understand that, if you were at ground zero with Adam and Steve
Now that overpopulation is the greatest threat to mankind, gay would actually be performing a service
Id like to know this also. Why is someones sexuality anyone elses business. In the end, for those of us who are believers, God will judge on our actions. Its difficult for me being a Christian to watch others of my faith lash out against people different from them. Im having a dispute with a fellow believer now because they want to pray for Gods wrath and anger to strike them. Our God is a loving God, and is slow to anger. Why cant we just live our own lives, focusing on whatever it is you believe in, and work toward peace. I want people to understand that all Christians arent like whats on TV.
And for the gay and lesbians that are too proud....we know youre here and we know youre queer, and we are use to it. Just give it a rest, we really dont care.
But Christian do care and not in a healthy way. There are 80 very religious countries that make homosexual a crime, when is gay sex their own business?
Fair enough, let me rephrase that..I dont care, along with many others Im sure, regardless of religious preference. I dont know why its any ones business. I can only speculate and speak from observation. Many Christians feel they need to convert everyone, and have them believe the way they do. But even Christians cant agree on what to believe. I read the Word and use it in a way that I feel will glorify the Lord. Its very disheartening to see believers acting in such a way. I cant and wont defend these people. I pray others dont pass judgement just because one group decides to act like theyre better than everyone else.
I know very few Christian that live and let live like that. Good for you, if you are what you think and cause no harm...
Maybe you have a better at the lotteries chances of going to heaven, at least here on earth
Ive been on both sides before. Growing up I was into all the witchcraft and voodoo. It was just appealing because it was taboo. I go to church and people stare at my tattoos, but I dont let it get to me. I know where my heart is. I was always turned off by Christianity because a lot of them get offensive after you tell them you dont want to hear it. Not Defensive, Offensive. Like the ones in the parking lot that run up to you and try to start preaching. Dont preach to me. You can teach me, inform me, show me...but dont preach. It says we're suppose to go out and share the Gospel....not go out and try to force people to listen to something they dont want to hear.
Anyway....this hub is suppose to be about gays, Ill stop. Dont want to rain on their parade....

At the risk of being bashed and stepped on here in the forums. I am curious as to why we spend our energy on discriminating and and opposing homosexuality.I am straight and I don't care if you are gay. However, many straight people seem almost obsessed with this. They make it an issue and I don;t...

I'm an atheist, but I've always thought that the Bible adamantly condemns homosexuality. Do homosexuals have any chance of getting into heaven? This has always confused me. In God's eyes, is being homosexual any more different than being an adulterer or killing someone? Can homosexuals also be...

There seems to be such a focus in the forums between homosexuality and religion/god that I am now curious about whether or not gay people can be Christians in the same context as straight people can be Christians?

If gays and lesbians started their own church, then they could get married. And nobody could stop them, because they would be protected by the first amendment, the freedom of religions act.And of course they would also be able to save a lot of money, because most religion do not pay taxes.

Ok I usually avoid religious forums like a plague but after my last thread about a certain lesbian woman, it just gave me an idea for another thread I mean its not just in the hub forums.. its everywhere. But looking at the hub forums it seems Christians always have to have a go at someone or...
