      Because people find it easy to place labels on others, put them in groups and hate the group.  Instead of treating every human being as an individual.

         The reason I ask is simply why you hate others in this world when it is better to love and care about them. Isn't it better to be united in this world than to fall apart in hate?

         For lots of reasons. Some people fear those that are different in any way from them. Politically, this divide and rule strategy is useful, because it helps to keep the masses (or those that believe everything the see on TV, or read in the gutter press) distracted, deflected, whatever you want to call it, from some realities. Greek One is being Greek one, and using humor to highlight hypocrisy.

            You make a great point here. Sometimes its easier to 'bandwagon'  by hating on a weak minority or group than to turn around and stick up for them.

   These groups have historically been easy targets and so bullies tend to center in on them. We're finally entering a time where views are changing though and homophobia is looked down on by many people, just as homosexuality used to be. As such tolerance and defending persecuted minorities is becoming seen in a much more postiive light, which results in bigots either rethinking their ideas or keeping them to themselves. There's obviously still a long way to go, but things are getting better.

                     The truth that her lifestyle is sin and because of her sin (which we all have sinned) she is headed to Hell.  I too am a sinner, but you see, I trusted Christ as my Saviour and now I am headed for heaven.  She may seem happy now, but what a person reaps, he will also sow.

                              whatever Emily...you are repeating something that you've read...and not considering the larger picture....life is not black and white....sometimes i wish it was...but it's not...it's grey...discretion and good judgement is necessary most times...thinking for yourself is a good thing in combination with beliefs.....

               God didn't tell us to hate people, regardless of their personal decisions. God's greatest commandment is to love one another. Also, I'm pretty certain he says to leave the judging up to him. No Christian can profess to love God when he hates another. (1 John 4:20)

                        I never said that all you had to do was believe. Also, there are scientific studies that are proving that being gay may be genetic, just like some people are predisposed to going bald, or being an alcoholic. Just remember, God's greatest commandment is to love one another. Are you really going to go against that in the name of self-righteousness?
