   One religion is neither tolerant nor intolerant of other religions. It's the followers of said religions that are tolerant or intolerant and in reality every religion has their tolerant and intolerant members.

   I do agree with WriterEcks. All religions teach us to think good, act well, speak well and to love others. It is the followers who forget these basic values and become intolerant.

   I disagree a bit. Some religions have clauses such as "No other gods before this god", "false prophets", etc. These ideas set forth can lead to some intolerance or nonacceptance of other people's religions or faiths. I don't really feel that I have the knowledge of which specific religions are more or less tolerant, but I could see how some religions push people towards intolerance of other faiths.

   Damn good question. I don't think anybody knows the answer to that one, at least without giving there own dogma an advertisement. Possibly I would say most of the older religions like Zen Buddhist, Krishna and the like.......and the Rasta's seem to be tolerant enough, at least until their sacrament runs out ~) or is taken from them. But, I would say, all of the 'top 3' (christians, muslims, mormans, oh my) will tell you they are tolerant to your face, but will turn around and do their judgmental thing and slap a brochure on ya, and then go back to their superstitious ways. Best thing to do these days, whoisbid, is to keep your own counsel, live by the Golden Rule, and keep your mouth shut. Keep your mouth shut! ~"Tell no man".........to coin a phrase from one of the books.

   There is always a conflict between different religions. Sometimes, it is not the religion the fuels up one's intolerance or behavior, it is the person's way of thinking and attitude itself.

   buddhism and hinduism I think, after studying religions for most of my life, they are the ones who let others be or don't hurt them because they are different

   I think all religions are tolerant of other religions.
   Actually, the interpretation of the holy books, some of which need a lot of study and most of us do not have the time due to our preoccupations, has been done by our religious preachers. Many a time, the interpretation is done to suit  one's idealogy, thinking and liking.
   That's the reason we see terrorism, hatred, killings etc taking place in the name of religion which is not true.
