The Almighty can take any form He wants. He is God after all. The only thing that is unchanging is His Character.
If god's character cannot change how can he say "thou shalt not kill" in one breath, then order the slaughter of men, women and children" in the next.
The Hebrew word for "kill" also means to murder, premeditate, and to avenge. This is the same word used in the King James version. Romans 12:19 says "vengeance is mine" so basically we are not to kill by means of revenge.
Still trying to find fault with God...Julie?
God became man to become the perfect sacrifice for our sins. God not changing means He does not change His mind nor what He stands for.
It is God's attributes of omnipotence, omnipresence, etc (the spiritual aspects) which are unchanging. He can appear to his created beings in any form he so chooses. When God came to live among us, he took the form of a human being, but he was still fully God.

I typically prefer to deal in quantifiable subjects, but this is a thought that resurfaced in my mind recently and was one of the first thoughts that led to my de-conversion from Christianity some years ago.So, how does the idea of hell fit into the supposition that God is, by definition (since God...
