Christians often post testimonies about God showing up in some miraculous way and delivering them...

from calamity, financial ruin or death.  Are there any people with stories about God not showing up? Times when you thought God should've showed up? Times when you expected God to show up? Times when you feel that God failed you? If so please write or list the times that you feel God failed.

There are dozens of times throughout my life where I wanted God to fix something, to intervene, to heal...sometimes He did and sometimes He didn't.

But, I do NOT believe that He failed me in anyway.  He does not take orders from me.  He can see the big picture while I can only see as far as the "headlights."  Therefore, sometimes it's an issue of timing (not the right time) or it's not the right situation for me in the grand scheme of things.  But, I think it is always a lesson for me, a molding of character, and a strengthening of my faith.

God doesn't need to show up since He is always there.  A favorite song of mine has a chorus that was taken from words scratched on the wall of a WWII Nazi concentration camp:

"I believe in the sun even when it's not shining,
I believe in love even when I don't feel it,
and I believe in God even when He is silent."

The Apostle Paul answered this question in his letter to the Corinthian church concerning a "thorn in the flesh":

    2Corinthians 12:8-9:

"For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me."

I, myself, suffer from a multitude of health problems, even blindness, but I keep going. This passage of scripture is NOT referring to Paul's health, but rather, the trials and tribulations of ministry.

Sometimes God seemingly doesn't answer, because we are seeking the answer we want, instead of what the answer really is:

    1) Yes
    2) No
    3) Wait awhile

    Either way.....God answers.

God's thoughts are not our thoughts His ways are not our ways and God sees things not as we see them. We may expect some illness or some problem or whatever to be responded to or acted upon immediately by God. That is wrongful thinking. God will seek out the very best solution and response to our prayer. Sometimes the answer will come immediately, but most of the time, it takes time, for there is always more than just ourselves that God has to take into consideration, so His answer at the time is wait patience, sometimes His answer has to be NO.

GOD NEVER FAILS.It's our excess  of expectation
and lack of "spiritual Knowledge" that cause use to
    see zero's instead of numbers.
Personal experiences verify the existence of God in
ones life. But Satan also have His ways of invoking
and causing supernatural events to occur to confuse
the individual between God and Satan Himself.
Read my hub's "Spiritual Warfare"...Divine and Unknown"
and "How to know when you are Saved".
