Do you think nothing happens and we just die, do we go to heaven or hell, return in another life, or something else?

Ever been to the doctor and had a general anesthetic, where you're totally out? Death is like that, except you don't wake up.

Absolutely true, except when you wake up, for a few seconds, you have no idea whether you are dead or alive.

But death isn't the end, really. YOU may die, but the bacteria, fungi and other organisms in and on you go on living and feasting on you. And when you're buried, all the plants and other living things around your body feed on you and continue to live. Your atoms get recycled into other things.

I was at Gettyburg a couple months ago, taking a hike around the battlefield. On a Union breastwork a raspberry bush was growing. I ate a raspberry off of it, then though of all the men who fell there, and all their blood that fell on the ground right at that spot. The atoms that came from their bodies got recycled over the 149 years through various plants and animals, and some of them, presumably, ended up in that raspberry, which then became part of me. Life goes on.

One must have an awareness or perception of the things he asks.. otherwise there would be no questions.

And in the end only his perception that matters, for after all that all he is able to understand.

Life is Life and death is death.... these two can never change nor take the place of another.

So there is no before and after to Life and similarly with death, there is no before and after...
The cycles of sleep and awake deceives  and gives the impression of such.

But the living sleeps so that he gets and understanding of death....and when he awakes he is refreshed  and happy for his slumber, for such is the nature of Life, that he find joy in all things.

and the dead is awake but never  finds joy in being awake, but sadness continually and longs to go to sleep and eventually sleep overtakes him, but still finds no joy in his sleep but longs to be awake.

Thus he is never refreshed, never happy always depressed for such is the nature of death.

Through out it all, death never understands himself  as death, For if he did he would transformed into Life.

For Life ultimately is the understanding of itself... which includes death.

And death ultimately is the misunderstanding of Life.. which includes itself death.

Humans have an eternal spirit within their being. When they die [those who have been born again of the Spirit of God]  will go to be with the Lord. Those who have not been born-again of the Spirit of God will go the Hell until the Great White Throne Judgment takes place, and thereafter [the remainder of eternity] in the Lake of Fire. To have a wait and see attitude means, it would now be to late to make amends. My suggestion is to one and all: read the Bible [1611 King James Bible] and believe every single word written therein.

Do you know what happens after we die? Do you know why and how we die? Do you know what happens at the exact moment of death?

    We know nothing of that.

Science can not even define consciousness, let alone if it reincarnates or not. We live in a world where SOME people pretend they have got all the facts, but they are just deluded. Take Richard Dawkins as an example.

Hi newbie. It is a standard way to say I like what you said and am in agreement. It negates the need to reiterate information already offered.

Ask anything about that fella. I had a look over that guy. The thing is no one pushed him to the corner tight. Writing a book does not make one an authority. Because we know that bible did not make itself an authority. lol

Ah, so you never read his books and know nothing about him after having "looked over that guy"

In my opinion, nothing happens after death that we know of for certain. It would be nice if there was such a thing as heaven, and maybe there is, but most likely we just die and that's it. I was terrified of dying, like a large number of people, until I had a very close encounter with death. My reaction at the time was totally unpredictable. I was accepting my fate, when I should have been fighting like crazy to stay alive. Which tells me that nature prepares you to die when the time comes, Today, I certainly don't want to die, but I'm no longer affraid of dying. But this is only my experience and my point of view

I don´t know if there is really life after death and if there´s heaven. I wish somebody can tell us what is true. I´m afraid of dying as I´m not yet prepared. Nobody knows what happen after we die.

If one defines death it is the end of life or living. So, if a thing is no longer living it no longer exists.
Therefore there is either life, living or nothing.

This is a challenging perspective, yes and one that defies traditional theological concepts of "the sweet by-and-by" aka heaven, the "eternal brimstone of fire" aka hell, reincarnation -because a thing cannot become incarnate once its carnality is removed.

The next to last item engages the mention of resurrection. The stories surrounding it are varied and placed with a strange series of catastrophic proportions, where the entire heaven-earth is destroyed {aka the universe goes bye-bye}. This would essentially mean those popped up between during this "end-all battle" would be destroyed also, as there would be no immediate heaven nor earth for them to wait out the storm.

The last, is a very narrow view of the situation. A view that is very much disliked by the masses. A view that says humans do not have to die to remain alive infinitely. A view that essentially says we do not know about death because we cannot//should not//will not experience death. So, the dead are dead and the living alive. The dead never knew they even were.

    James.

My belief, thanks to the curse of apotheosis, is that at death, we ( upload our consciousness ) to the Godhead that is like a cosmic consciousness.
The curse of apotheosis is that there is no showable proof.
