How do you find inner peace or satisfaction in life when things goes wrong?
Inner peace comes when a person really understands the absolute truth and that is physical life is temporary. This may not be the easiest thing to swallow but it is a fact that has been proven time and time again. There is an eternal side that is... read more
These are only a few reasons as I accepted Christ at a young age and He's seen me through so many bad times.
I get peace from knowing that as a Child of God, He will provide for my needs. The Bible tells us in Matthew 6:
Do Not Worry
25"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? 26Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life[b]?
28"And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? 31So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' 32For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
If you'll read my profile, you'll see how trusting in Him has brought me peace. God never promises an easy life...quite the opposite actually. But He does promise that if we believe, He will see us through it.
To give you an idea, I was given very grim news about my twins during my 21st week of pregnancy. The only thing I could do was rely on God and pray. He showed me that my children would be okay and guess what, they are. They were born healthy babies.
My husband has been to work for 3 weeks now (self employed), only to find something broken just about every day. In addition having to call customers to get payments for work that was done several months ago. The other day, the customer that he was working for told me, "if you guys didn't have bad luck, you wouldn't have any at all." As tough as things are right now, I have peace in knowing that God promises to provide for our needs.
In addition, I try to think about the things that are going right. My mother's neighbor's shop was struck by lightening and burned to the ground a few weeks ago. While I wish that on no one, I can't help but be thankful that A: no one was in the shop. B: the fire didn't spread. C: it didn't hit my mother's home as our entire family including our infants were at my mother's home and actually heard the lightening hit the shop. My family is pretty healthy right now. I have a wonderful husband that despite his struggles, still gets out every day to make a living for his family. I'd been long ready to give up myself if I were in his shoes. There is just so much we have to be thankful for.
I wrap myself up in a Good Book. It's called the Holy Bible! It works every time!
I Thank God for Peace, Love and Joy in my heart. He Blesses me with these every day.
Inner Peace comes in Knowing that you are living out your Destiny and that you do make a difference. That Sacrifices you have made have initiated Change. It is all for a reason that leads to the Higher Good of all. We will be going Home, "soon".
Great question? It is very hard. But finding a positive or positives quick does work.
By drawing on your past experiences for inner strength, by talking to someone (your close family and friends), by thinking through the problem (sometimes it takes a little time for strong emotions to die down). By having a future goal and positive plans for the future.
For those living in Christ, we pray 'Thy Will Be Done' - so, things don't go 'wrong', they just go a way 'our will' didn't want it to go. Life is not suppose to be about satisfaction - that is a selfish will. Peace is being content in the direction the Lord leads and accepting it.
I spend time everyday worshiping God and giving him praise. Ask God to renew your mind and renew your spirit then give him thanks for doing that. Raise your hands and wroship him praise him, make it a part of your life, part of your everyday schedule. Also, read the bible. Read Psalm 27 three times a day or more. This is a chapter you are going to want to read out loud. Have Gospel music constantly playing through your house in every room, even when you are sleeping.
Seek God in this manor and he will move in your life. Also, you may want to become a membor or visit a church every Sunday or more if possably. How do I know? Because I'm living proof.
Be blessed, Be Well & put God first.

Peace
Peace is wonderful if I only had peace all the time, but in this crazy world, it is very hard almost a waste of time. I start first thing in the morning, sometimes before I get out of bed and my feet hit the floor. This is a good thing to do; I will have peace all the day through!
If I forget to meditate, or pray, before I start the day, just remember this day can be rough on you. Who knows who has it out for you, who know it may be the police, on the street just waiting for you? After the light you just ran through!
So who knows what this day holds for you, my chances are better if I meditate, or pray, to start the day. I find my life goes very well, if I take a little time to be thankful and not ungrateful! Yes and not all the discontent that comes from being unmindful, for what I have in this life!
See the body and Soul as separate for this piece of discussion. You feed the body, and so you need to feed the Soul. Pray and meditate, or try silent or interior prayer faithfully and lovingly as well as devotedly. Do this daily in the quiet and wee hours of the morning and again at night.
Come back to me in three months if you practice, practice, practice ardently and with tremendous inner cry for inner happiness, and it still does not work.

How To Find Inner Peace
by Michael Valencia 11 years ago
What is the best way to "live in the now"?I often hear about this as a means of de-stressing and improving the quality of one's life, but I often find it hard to do. My OCD and Generalized Anxiety Disorder don't help either. If you are able to, what's your secret?

Having inner peace is a wonderful thing. If you have inner peace, how do you attain it?How do you attain inner peace daily even through trails, which we all experience? Thank you for answering.

Are you worried about what happens after you die?I have two fears for when I die: I'll basically cease to exist, have no consciousness, etc. Or, that there is an afterlife and I'll learn the meaning of life, which could be devastating if I handled life wrong!

If you're tired of the crap of this world, then you need to get off the wheel of death and birth. There will never be "peace" here. That's not what this world is for. It will just keep cycling and recycling, as long as there are humans who want to be here, away from God.
