My life is all about living it. Everyday is a new day to experience everything life has to offer. Of course you have to work, eat, etc.., but that's not what true living is all about, it's just what you do with your time.
Life should be about experiencing new things. We should work to live, not live for work.
For sure life is much more than that. But those 3 things you said are 3 of them. Not the best things but a little part of what is life.
I am so thankful that life for me has a purpose. I am in this world but not of this world. If this world was all there was to life, there would be no purpose in living. My belief in God and what He has planned for me is the ONLY reason that makes life worth living. For those of you who do not yet believe, there is still time for you to have a change of heart. God DOES love you. He wants to have a personal relationship with you. He has a plan and a purpose for your life IF you will just turn to Him. If you are someone that has not yet trusted in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, I beg you to reconsider. I will be praying for YOU.
there's always the alternative. you've got it about nailed.
no they are only fuel for you to keep going on but its about things you belive in. it about changes, dream ,love and yes enjoying food and travelling and sex and beauty of world and life. wow if i follow them whatever i just blah blahed my life would have been heaven not hell which is now.
Life has a purpose, otherwise dear, we wouldn't be here. Its about making this world a better place, having a relationship with God, finding who you are. If you have not left you mark on this earth in a tangiable, wonderful way, you have not fulfilled your purpose. God made you to have a relationship with Him, if you so choose. Pretty cool, to me, that the Creator of the Universe wants to talk to me day to day, and love me and hold me close. Pretty awesome.
If feels like it, but really, for those who have been found by Christ, it becomes all about how I can enjoy God forever.
I study the Vedas (book of Knowledge primarily from the east), and they say that lives of animals primarily consist of eating, sleeping, mating and defending. The scriptures tell us that the human consciousness and our ability to use our intellectual ability for a higher purpose is what makes us a higher form of life than animals.
The purpose of human life is to develop Krishna Consciousness as described in the Bhagavad-Gita (the Song of the Lord). I would recommend that you read the edition written by His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada.
There are so many wonderful topics that are eloquently covered in the holy text that I am sure you will get many answers to your questions. The five major topics of the Gita are 1.The individual soul, 2.Time, 3. Material Nature 4. Karma and 5. The Super soul.
Awakening our dormant love for God and developing our higher consciousness is what life is about.
I hope this helps.

How does a person form their belief systems in the first place? Why are people unwilling to change their beliefs when there is good reason their beliefs are false ie "I still believe anyway".Do belief systems rule our lives?
