Death may be tragic for the human but god is beyond death ,the cosmos is not affected by death.

              "Death is my friend,
              Where there is no trend."

Nothing wrong in dying at any age, its perfection .

Yes I believe very much in the existence of Angels. And in a very literal sense, too. I believe the existence of angels are parallel in support to the existence of God. They are everywhere, and scripturally speaking, there're more angels than demons and humans put together. Well, how come about so much evil? Cause they're servants - they only follow instructions to the latter. They don't move without God's say so. You see, unlike us they don't enjoy the luxury of freewill. If you ask me - freewill is overrated. I envy the celestial beings. But you know what? They envy us, too. They really do.

Yeah when God told Michael to kick Lucifer out of heaven a third of them went with him.  Two thirds stayed, so there are twice as many good angels.  I think angels must have free will too seeing Lucifer tried to be God without God.  Possibly Michael and the good angels are just obedient, the same as we can be.

        Saint Michael the Archangel,
        defend us in battle.
Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
        May God rebuke him, we humbly pray;
and do Thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host -
by the Divine Power of God -
cast into hell, satan and all the evil spirits,
who roam throughout the world seeking the ruin of souls.
        Amen

I do not mean that they dont have free will at all. I just mean they don't have the luxury of it as we do. Like we can do whatever the hell we like and practically get away with anything. Angels do one wrong, they get thrown off. Thats why I think scriptures never recorded of any more fallen angels since the rebellion.

Alabama has beautiful song on this ... part of chorus goes,

"I believe there are angels among us,
Sent down to us from somewhere up above,
They come to you and me in our darkest hours,
To teach us how to give, to show us how to live,
To guide us with the light of love."

The premise is that angels speak to us in the guise of ordinary folk, and if we will listen and trust, we will be guided by heaven's love.

Brings tears every time I hear it.smile

I had a period a few years ago when I was very connected to Metatron - working in healing and technology projects. The connection could have been symbolic and was certainly personal.
I found that chanting to increase the connection producesd some dramatic results when in the context of my healing  and the connection was picked up by a lady I know who is clairvoyant after a reiki initiation i did for a group on a trip to cornwall, stonehenge and glastonbury.

whether angels are real or act as a psychological symbol whioch triggers insight and healing I do not know, either way the effect is positive for me.

    RavenKing,
Believe me, the effect of the connection is dramatic, the clairvoyant lady I spoke about wandered off on her own in tears after the group initiation. Said she had seen a 50 foot high angel protecting the group which is exactly what I had been chanting to call in.

Thats enough to convince me, she had a profound past life healing that day.

There is much more to life and death than majority of people understand...that lack of understanding includes about angels, too.
Karma, good and not so good, is an intricate subject. Angels do everything they can for humanity, but only according to the free will of the human individual, and divine will of course.

They can "read" all levels of the human consciousness to assess a situation, even knowing what the person themself doesn't know. So, sometimes angels cannot act or intercede for a person expressly because that person doesn't want it subconsciously.

It is my understanding that angels can only act according to divine will, mostly unbeknownst to humanity, and only when directly asked for by humanity, with genuine desire to meet the need of the situation.
Lack of faith, belief and trust in God and hierarchy, as well as cynicism, anger and hate, can hinder heavenly response, but sometimes also, heavenly hosts can act without it...it's all base on the karmic record/history of the individual soul.

  13. SparklingJewel profile image67
    SparklingJewelposted 15 years ago

Children, just as adults, need to learn to talk to angels and God, to ask and desire their intercession, or by their good karmic deeds have earned intercession.
There is a path of enlightenment that souls follow, consciously or unconsciously, where even extreme sickness and disease may be exactly what the soul needs to experience to learn more of what they are here to learn in their life.
But, there are also, those with disease and sickness that are vulnerable to the hate and anger in  the world, some of which is what makes them sick and some of which affects others to do bad things to themselves and others.
The possibilities are infinite as to why people suffer in the infinite ways that they do.

    1. earnestshub profile image72
earnestshubposted 15 years agoin reply to this

So a one year old needs to talk to god? Is it their fault they get sick or die?

      1. SparklingJewel profile image67
SparklingJewelposted 15 years agoin reply to this

The soul of an individual(not matter what the human age, the greater aspect of the soul is always learning to talk to God), communicates with their Divine Source, mostly unbeknownst to the outer human consciousness of the individual

It is my understanding that it is not a fault of the person if he/she gets sick, sometimes it may have been the choices of free will of the person or of another person, that caused the illness. EVeryone makes choices i.e.mistakes, usually it is a past life accumulation of choices that creates an illness in this life. I don't like to use the word mistake for the very reason that people look upon it as faults/mistakes. Geez, we all make mistakes in our choices, it does no one any good to condemn and blame onesself or God, but of course to seek understanding and divine justice

God does not do things to people, people are learning what to do and what not to do to understand the love of the divine order(how things are meant to work for good and love in life).

I think the concepts of God are what creates the problems we see. We are here to learn what the Truth of God is all about, and our place in/as God. Seeking to understand Truth is the only way to find out for yourself. I could talk all day about what i think and what I know and believe. But you, like everyone else, has to seek those answers for yourself. WE are only capable of understanding to a certain degree about what others know and beleive...its just between you and God for the ultimate answers of understanding. big_smile

No it is not the kids fault.  Their guardian angels are with kids when they are sick and they share in their suffering.  If needed the angels direct the kids home to God.

This is usually the first prayer some kids learn.

Angel of God, My Guardian Dear
to whom God's love commits me here.
Ever this day be at my side

I am only posting this in the hope of bringing comfort to you or anyone else that may have experienced the loss of a young child. I believe that God does not hold children of a young age accountable. When a young child prematurely leaves this world, he/she is immediately in the presence of the Lord. (absent from the body...present with the Lord) We who are left behind grieve for these little ones and rightly so. But if you realize where they are...there is no more pain, no more tears and they are in the loving hands of the Lord.

"There is a path of enlightenment that souls follow, consciously or unconsciously, where even extreme sickness and disease may be exactly what the soul needs to experience to learn more of what they are here to learn in their life. "

But when their life ends prematurely in death, there is no justification in that. My friend dying of leukemia at 19 years old is not justified. There was no reason for him to suffer like he did.

I am sorry about your friend, Colebabie. Suffering seems to have no reason, and it is hard for us to stand by and watch it happen.

The "reasons" for suffering, as I said, are infinite and mostly unknown to us. I lost several dear friends in my life, and my lack of understanding those very reasons for their death and death's purpose, etc...are what spurred me onto seeking greater understanding of life and death, spirituality and religion, etc... to ease my suffering at losing them.

I believe in angels, wielding swords, fiery and full of power. Like the angel that stood before Balaam and made his donkey to speak, shining bright, like the angel that appeared before Daniel and his friends and made them quake terribly. Like the angel that came down like lightening, rolled away the stone on the Lord's tomb. I love to think of angel's in that light. Nothing corny like the ones in paintings, baby-like and wearing those diaper-like wuchmacallit - loin cloth thingies. People think its cute, too. Angels aren't supposed to be cute. They're warriors of the celestial host. Soldiers-elite. That dumb stuff in paintings murders me.

Either the wings are a way of migrating birds into angels as messengers of the air capable of moving from earth to heaven or they were added during some inspired painting session during the dark/middle ages in italy somewhere......

As a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, I most certainly do believe in angels. Angels are messengers, helpers, protectors and evidence of them is throughout the Bible. I'm not really sure about having one particular guardian angel. I know I can think back to different times of having close calls where there had to have been divine intervention. I'm certain there are angels all around us.

I do find Christian mythology/demonology to be quite fascinating though.

The idea of angels has always been confusing.  Are angels a separate entity; they seem to have been around before humans.  Do humans become angels when they die if they're good? That's what all the stories seem to say.  Of couse God can do anything so they can be both.  If you go to heaven would you envision being assigned to follow some character around for his or her life; would that be your idea of heaven.  Maybe only the non-human angels get that job.
If people have guardian angels, I would say more than half of those angels are asleep on the job.
There are also Arcangels; are they the bosses of the other angels?  If so do you expect when you go to heaven that you will have a boss?

Yeah Pete my understanding is that angels are a separate entity besides humans and they were around before humans.  So I don't think humans become angels when we die if we are good although it's a nice thought with the wings and all.  But then like you say God can do anything.  Don't know, I wouldn't mind hanging around with an angel though.  I think it would be us that are asleep on the job rather than our guardian angels or we are just not listening to them.  Michael is an Archangel or prince or leader of other angels.  Yeah I imagine we'll have a boss or a guide seeing God's heavenly kingdom is not a democracy. smile

That's interesting Blackngoldbanana, both are.  We can definitely learn some things from animals.  I like watching my sister's horses, the boss mare is not just the boss, she actually takes care of her herd, cutting the old one out when they are running so old Lindsey doesn't over exert herself.  This is a cool topic.

Okay, I know when you read this you might think I'm crazy, but what the heck.

I think dogs are angels...not guardian angels, but angels that watch us and report back to "the big guy" on how we treat them.  If you treat a dog bad, you are in trouble.

Guardian angels are a different thing altogether.  The one I saw was extremely tall and gaunt, humanoid but not human.
