Was the zodiac and the constellations used in the anthropomorphic story of the 12 sons of Israel?
Whether they are or not does not matter. What matters is that the number 12 is significant in the divine numerology of nature. It portrays the power of turnover or harvesting. To the ancient mystics, number 12 is synonymous to the divine expectation of God from man, which the Israelites first, then the redeemed were obliged to fulfil.

Can anyone explain why the tribe of Dan is not listed as part of the 144,000?Revelation 7:5 thru 8 list all the tribes of Isreal except the tribe of Dan. However in place of the tribe of Dan is the tribe of Manasses. Who is the tribe of Manasses and where did they come from?
