I heard that this was just a Facebook scam based on one Astronomers theory that was not accepted by Astrologers.

There is some  basis for the idea of changing - the Maya calender is coming to an end for the same rfeasons.  I would have thought that the earth passing through the plane of the universe is like the whole earth 'clock' moving through the hour - and so everyone goes back an hour ?  Same idea as how can you have your birthday twice just because you fly around the world and pass through the same time but in a different time zone ?

Hi - I'm an astrologer and I can tell you your sunsign hasn't changed :-)

This is an old argument that has just been thrown back into the mix for no particular reason. Western astrology doesn't use the constellations - the signs are different from the constellations although they have the same names. Unfortunately the astronomer in question who started all of this didn't actually learn his astrology as well as astronomy!

So you are whatever sign you were before this story started.

yes there is some controversies but we believe that earth is rotating with all other stars and moving stars can affect on person's personality so it could be true .

It's not the stars in Astrology that have the 'affect' on a person's personality.
It is the Sun Moon and Planets and where they are in relation to Earth.
So the 'sign' change is no different than say 'rural road B' sign getting changed to 'Anderson Street'  the road still leads to the yellow house on top of the hill.

Making that claim is pointless without an explanation as to how that works exactly? What physical effect exactly do they have on our biological bodies and what is it in our bodies exactly that react and are controlled by those effects?

          Please explain. smile

I'm not going to explain anything to an instigator. I've seen your antics in other forums, cutting people down for what they believe.
Besides, no one said anything about 'the biological body'.

Yes, I already knew that. Not a single astrologer or anyone else for that matter has ever explained it. That's why astrology is nothing short of mild, mindless entertainment. smile

I've just found out what the new zodiac looks like:

    Capricorn: Jan. 20 – Feb. 16
    Aquarius: Feb. 16 – March 11
    Pisces: March 11- April 18
    Aries: April 18 – May 13
    Taurus: May 13 – June 21
    Gemini: June 21 – July 20
    Cancer: July 20 – Aug. 10
    Leo: Aug. 10 – Sept. 16
    Virgo: Sept. 16 – Oct. 30
    Libra: Oct. 30 – Nov. 23
    Scorpio: Nov. 23 – Nov. 29
    Ophiuchus: Nov. 29 – Dec. 17
    Sagittarius: Dec. 17 – Jan. 20

That makes me a Taurus, which is my ascendant, anyway.

Thanks for the chart, Camlo.  I was curious about this after reading cardelean 's hub about the zodiac signs and couldn't find any further info on it.

Where did this chart come from?  It makes me a Taurus as well, and frankly, don't see it at all...

And what, pray tell, is an Ophiucus?  I can't even pronounce it. lol  Is it a bird, animal or fish???  Sorry, I'm going by the old charts.  smile

    1. camlo profile image89
camloposted 7 years agoin reply to this

Ophiuchus is a man with a snake - The Snake Bearer.

Hmmm ... I got the chart from another website, but don't know where now. I found it through Google by searching for 'New Zodiac'.

    Okay, I got it from here:http://news.mwza.com/tech/new-astrologi … -2011/832/

This is what it also says:

    Update:
Let us be clear, Parke Kunkle’s discovery only addresses sidereal zodiac, that is based on constellations- therefore this change only concerns people in the East. Westerners adhere to tropical zodiac that is fixed to seasons (equinox to equinox). In conclusion, your zodiac sign has not changed.

So I am still a Gemini!

Astrology is a vast subject but the short answer is western astrology, what most follow in America, is not changing because American's use a tropical zodiac that is fixed to the seasons and equinoxes and not to the constellations them selves. so the sign you have always been is what you will always be.
