Who says that God did not give us the knowledge and ability to judge right from wrong?
JOHN 7V24..Judge Righteous Judgement. (between evil and good)in the spirits of humankind.
Can this also apply to HOSEA 3V6 mY PEOPLE ARE DESTROYED for the lack of KNOWLEDGE?
Before we come to know the Lord, we really do not know right from wrong.
The wisdom derived from the tree of knowledge of good and evil is earthly wisdom. Only God can give true wisdom and ability to judge – to
I say:- No it cannot be!(applied) Otherwise how will JCg judge the world?discern between good and evil.
Some of the ancient Greek philosophers put forth the concept that if you know the good you will choose it. This line of thinking seems to be reinforced by what you are getting at with the scripture quotes. My problem with it lies in the existence of ethical dilemmas:
A man is on business forty minutes away from his home town and receives a call that his wife is going into labor, he also receives a phone call that his mother is on her deathbed in a hospital forty minutes the other direction. Does he choose to be with his wife or his dying mother?
He could go back and forth on the decision, he only has one mother after all and he can always have more children, maybe his mother does not want him to see her like that and wants him to witness the birth of his child.
Either way there is no right answer, and I believe life is more populated with situations that have no right answer than those where it is clear cut, so I am saying that God did not give us the knowledge and ability to judge right from wrong because of ethical dilemmas where there is no right answer.
