Paganism, and Witchcraft, they would not use, abuse, inflict pain on nor slaughter any living creature ass a part of a ritual.

There, how ever is Satanists, who may well do so.

Satanists are around, and may well pick up cats for use at their ceremonies.

Also there is also some people who do that sort of thing just for fun, picking up other peoples cats I mean.
Finally, "Urban Legends" abound and Man has a very fertile imagination.

Day after Halloween? Yes I have lost a cat on Halloween and I was told that it was probably sacrificed, or else eaten by a coyote. Also November 1st is Dia de Los Muertos but nothing in that holiday suggests feline theft.

Most Pagans have an animal familiars and would not take someones pet. Cats are one of the most widely choosen animals as familiars. No, something else has happened to the cats. I hope you find them.
