I have a cousin that says weed is put here from God and he can smoke all he wants. How do I show...
him in the bible that he will go to hell for smoking weed?
In short, you cannot, unless you can find a way to make the word defile meaningless...
Mark 7:14-16 (King James Version)
14And when he had called all the people unto him, he said unto them, Hearken unto me every one of you, and understand:
15There is nothing from without a man, that entering into him can defile him: but the things which come out of him, those are they that defile the man.
16If any man have ears to hear, let him hear.
I have a hub on this subject, it's tough to accept, however the traditional church are WRONG on this matter.
BTW, that was Jesus speaking those words.
All things are lawful for me, but not all things are profitable. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be mastered by anything. (1 Corinthians 6:12)
God is a forgiving God. If you are telling him he will go to hell for smoking weed then he probably won't listen to you at all. Is he a believer? If he is then just pray for him, pray that the Holy Spirit will convict him of sin. I actually know a few Christians that smoke weed and besides it being against the law it isn't any worse than socially drinking alcohol. But sometimes it can lead to other drugs which are dangerous and rarely it can cause some mental disorders. I drink coffee and this is also a drug. So be careful not to be so judgmental. Some prescription drugs are like crack. I do have a hub about drugs if you want to check it out.

Pray for him. Prayer is our most powerful weapon. Remember, God gave us free will.....he made us in his image, and he wants us to choose to love him. I will pray for your cousin, and I hope he turns away from his ways, not simply because they are in fact sinful; but also, I want him to live a happy and prosperous life, and weed is no way to do that.
God Bless,
Anthony
Where does it say that weed is bad in that Bible? For one the Bible says that all plants on this earth were made for us to use.
hell is the grave and the end of your existence and separation from God for ever, and there nothing in the bible about smoking weed. all plant and animal are for use to man. as long as Jesus is 1st in his life and not the weed and he not stealing from other to get the money and crashing into other, I see no problem, but he should talk to God to make sure.
1)
The bible says - "For ye are the temple of the living god"
In 1 Cor 3:17 - If anyone destroys God's sanctuary, God will destroy him, for God's sanctuary is holy. And you are that sanctuary!
If a person heart and body is the sanctuary of God, then it is his/her responsible to keep it pure.
2)
1 Thessalonians 5:22 tell us to "Abstain from all appearance of evil." God is saying that we are to abstain not from only evil itself but even from that which would appear to be evil.
God forbid mankind only to consume the fruit of one plant, the apple in the garden of eden, but even for this mankind was unable to resist to consume it.
Also have closer look to incense. Today our world population is so huge, that we do not have anymore enough of the original incense and so we use the weak derivatives from China. But the original arabic olibanum contains THC.
It is today too expensive and is only produced in small ammounts, therefore it is nearly unavailable in the western world.
In earlier times people in churches were made high with this to feel the spirit of the Lord.
So if you want to tell your cousin, that he will go to hell, then think that he maybe is closer to God than you are.
Well, he will not necessarily go to hell because of smoking weed, rather he would go to hell for not believing on Jesus Christ's sacrifice on the cross (John 3; Romans 10; 1Corinthians 15). How you can show him that weed is sinful, is showing him the many verses of God's Word that say to be sober-minded. Do a word search on sober minded in different translations on biblegateway.com and you will find a lot. 2Timothy 1 has one, 1Peter has one, etc. When someone is on marijuana they are not sober-minded, they are not themselves, and they don't have full control, all of these are found in God's Word, and just simple logic of life. He has a conscience, con means with and science means knowledge, he's with knowledge about this point of morality. Also it damages his body, brain cells, lungs, breathing, etc. and that is not good obviously either. Also, this can open him up to evil spirits/demons to oppress, just by not having control and a sober mind, and also because the Greek word "pharmakeia" in Galatians 5 in the acts of the flesh means witchcraft, drugs, sorcery, etc. Go to him in Love if you do go, and go in Prayer beforehand as well, and go in the Spirit of God and Wisdom. Amen. Grace and Peace.

Should a mother allow her 13 yr old child to smoke cigarettes or weed and display a tattoo? Some mothers nowadays just don't want their kids to remain kids. They openly let their children smoke and drink as if it was meant for them to do. Is this a fine line in the desert for you?

Also, the book of Maccabes is not in the KJV (sorry spelling)and that is the only book, as far as I know, where it talks about praying FOR the dead.Bible believers believe that Christ paid our sins, once and for all, so we are (in Ephesians it says) saved by grace Thru faith - not by works, lest...

Kaf. Ha. Ya. 'Ain. Sad. (This is) a recital of the Mercy of thy Lord to His servant Zakariya. Behold! he cried to his Lord in secret, Praying: "O my Lord! infirm indeed are my bones, and the hair of my head doth glisten with grey: but never am I unblest, O my Lord, in my prayer to Thee!...
