   What happens to the "consciousness" , after the death of living being?
   
   The consciousness which is seen moving , talking , eating and doing all these things . Where it disappears..?

   Since I have no idea and can never know for sure, I don't cling to one answer. I like to imagine the possibilities.
   
   Maybe it just ceases. Our brains turn on and we become conscious when we are babies, and they turn off and we cease to be conscious when we pass on. Maybe we just ceasing to exist, completely, as we ceased to exist before we were conceived.
   
   I don't know that I think the consciousness is a figuratively tangible thing that must exist regardless of whether or not it has a vessel. But then, maybe I'm wrong! Maybe that's exactly how it is, and my "consciousness" will hang around in limbo waiting for another vessel to jump into. I think that would the be 'past lives' theory.
   
   But then, who knows??

   We go back up into the Universe, from where we came, to continue on our journey of experiences which, when we are ready, will lead to our progression into higher dimensions. We go on experiencing & creating through every dimension, yet our understanding & level of awareness is forever expanding.
   Many of us here now are in direct contact with our higher dimensional existances, this is because we are here to guide others & the planet itself towards the path that lies ahead, for those who choose to listen & take it, following the 21/12/2012.

   It simply ceases to exist.  Nothing comes after death for the conscious mind.  The atoms and molecules of the body are re-assimilated into the mix.

   I have often wondered this myself. I think our consciousness is who we are and the body is just a vessel. I like to think it goes on and we move to another level or dimention. Many people say they see ghosts, or have had out of body experiences, to me that would and could only happen if the conscious mind was in itself seperate. Then I wonder about things like dementia where we lose our conscious minds, if it is an energy and goes on we then should not have to deal with such a thing. I would like to think however that we leave our bodies and move to a more pure dimention. Just my thought.

   Since the mind/body connection is our self awareness then if the chemical and blood oxygen flow cease, what we experience as consciousness would eventually cease. How long after death before everyday self-awareness ends is a matter of debate.  The question of the guillotine being so fast - does the head remain briefly conscious after decapitation while the brain remains chemically alive?
