Do you think the Pope should allow the use of condoms?
The Pope has now said he can see, that in special cases, the use of condoms is acceptable. Do you think that he should allow the wide spread use of condoms, even without special circumstances?
If the Pope had advocated the use of codoms about 100M lives would have been saved in the last thirty years. So yes but it's very late coming and the churches should be ashamed of themselves.
Yes, absolutely. Going to Africa and saying condoms make the AIDS crisis worse was a catastrophe and an inhumane thing to do, to say the least. It borders on evil. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/commen … 923927.ece
Yes, and I also think they should be allowed to get married like they did in the 14 or 1500's. Maybe then the church wouldn't need such an overhaul.
Whether the Pope knows it or not people are already using them. Why do people put so much of what they should do in man. It is God who is our leader not man. no man is perfect on this earth . The circumstance is what ? If you are being rapped should you say hold on let me put a condom on? Really what is the circumstance : cheating on your spouse? What could the circumstance possibly be?
I wish the Pope could see what his followers are really doing he would have a fit. Christian Catholic or not are sinning all over ther place and not listening to the man of God and they are not listening to God either. They are making up their minds to do what they want . If we polled how many Catholic women have had abortions it would be alarming so condoms really
Pope should be appreciated to finally allow using condoms though it's been late to make this vital decision.
Every person is responsible for his or her health and wellbeing. If something bad happens to you, listening what the Pope or anyone else said is NO excuse. It's your own fault. Hope this helps.
Yes, and birth control period! In poor 3rd world countries it does absolutely no good to send food when these people only crank out even more kids in response. Until we get a handle on the birth rates in these countries, adding more food and resources is like pouring gasoline on a out of control fire. Advocating abstinence before marriage is one thing, but why shouldn't these countries be practicing birth control, especially after marriage?!!
Years ago when I first learned that Catholics weren't allowed to use protection or any form of birth control, I was just shocked. Here is the rest of the world going on about safe sex and the spread of HIV/AIDS, and yet the Pope only now makes these special exceptions.
It's a real backward way of thinking, and EVERYONE should be able to use protection and birth control. We don't need the earth to be even more populated than it is all ready, and we don't need the pandemic of HIV/AIDS getting any worse than it is all ready.
He cannot prevent them being used. What is he going to do excommunicate everyone who uses one, I think not.
Catholicism has been neglecting the changes of time ohh so very badly.
Yes they should allow the use of condoms.
They should provide them for free.
For the world!
And sexual health care.
For all the disgraceful antics of the church throughout the world.
I can not see why it would be a big deal, helps in prevention of pregnancy and some form of diseases
The Catholic Pope unanimously suddenly decides that using of condoms in special circumstances is allowed. Do the rules in heaven or the laws of God change as per Popes will?
Once the Church held that the earth is flat until they realized that in fact it is spherical. Who decided that sex is evil? If we read history, particularly European History we will know that bathing was regarded a sin just about 300 years ago and anyone found bathing was either killed or imprisoned.
So I feel The Pope and the Church should limit themselves to spiritual things and give more time to get the Church rid of pagan rites and customs which they have gathered through centuries now that the laity is better informed.
