If you are going to die after one week from now? What will you do during one week that you have?
I shall spend this one week in the folloeing way.
1.I shall phone all my friends and well wishers and tell them cheerful things, without telling about my departure.
2. I shall try to clear off my debts.
3 I shall write a will about disposal of my properties and clearing of my loans.
4 I shall spend the rest of my time, in reading good books, listening to good lyrics, and talking nice things to my wife and son.
5 I shall pray god and thank him for giving me an oppurtunity to spend one lifetime on this beautiful earth.
That's all! I shall keep waiting for Mr.Death to come.
set up my hubpage account as a trust fund that can fund charities long after ive gone!
prasasjain has the basic idea ...
I would skip point five because I'm over 66 now and found never any use for any gods or religious myths in my life on earth or any place else I may end up ... now or later!
I may think of all I have learned, the great powers within nature and express my hopes for the evolution of life on earth to benefit from the good all living things on this planet may be contributing to a better understanding of nature so we may be able to live in greater harmony with nature and all it's many forms of life in the future ...
Natural evolution goes on!
I'll simply worry about dying and waste that whole week. When we think about death, nothing will come to our mind other than death..
I'll be counting my sins and good deeds and compare it.. If the good deeds are more then i can peacefully die, because I'll be going to HEAVEN.
I do agree with what prasadjain has mentioned and add that I will try to imagine the experience of death and normalize my self with it before its occurrence and also calm my family and be more courageous than them .I will ask my God all the time to make it easier for me and to forgive me and admit me to His eternal paradise, with the good ones who believed in Him and did goodness in their life and whom He has promised to enter His eternal paradise.
I would spend as much time with my loved ones as I could, place my affairs in order and make sure my pets would all be looked after well once I was gone. I would also in some way look forward to being reunited with all those people and pets I have lost to death in the past.
I'll donate my heart or kidney. As for my money, I'll give all of it to my sisters.

How do atheists fight depression? This is a legitimate question. I'm an atheist and I find that when I start to think about death and the sheer vastness of the universe, I get overwhelmed. The birth and death of the earth (and the human race) is so quick and insignificant in the grand scheme of...

Michael Jackson it appeared made a speech and released things near his death that he never did before, did he have a feeling that he was going to die?, was someone threatening him?, was he murdered? and is he worth more since his death than when he was alive?

How do you cope with the thought of your own death?Calling all you 'older' (ahem) writers out there. Do you find yourself becoming a more melancholy person as you get older? Does your mortality begin to hit home? If it does, how do you cope with it and stop yourself becoming just an old misery guts?
