Are we already counting down for the coming of judgment day?

What happen to Japan lately and to other country from the previous news in Television and radio are very alarming. It is the sign that we are near to  judgment day?

Maybe but I sure hope not. Even if we are there's not a darn thing we can do about it.

It's not judgement day that's about to come, but the rapture of Jesus Christ. I believe it will happen in our lifetime

With all that's going on in the world today,it's easy to wonder if we're living in the last days.

Like Just Ask Susan stated there's not a darn thing we can do about it.

Nope. The number of earthquakes is pretty much as is expected based on the stats for the last 200 years. The YTD stats are in line with the last few years....

You could have picked a point in time in every year for the last 200 years where you could have said judgement day was near.

The idea that any of this indicates some sort of judgment day is pretty silly. There have always been bad things happening around the world. The biggest difference is that we hear more about it because of the speed of media.
There isn't any great acceleration going on beyond the normal cycles.
People have been sure that the judgment day was just around the Conner for as long as there have been religions preaching the existence of such a day.

Could be! But scientifically speaking, Japan is located in the Pacific Ring of Fire and the calamity that struck the country is due to the movement of the earth beneath. But you still have the point regarding the forthcoming Judgment Day. It's in the Bible and it will really happen sooner or later because as Christ said, "Heaven and Earth will pass, but his words will never." Thanks and may God bless you always. Let's pray.

Judgment day is still just over a Thousand years away, but what is approaching is a Great Tribulation, just like just before Noah's Flood and then the flood came.

1Pe 3:20     Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.

Actually the earthquakes talked about in the Bible, were said to be "Great" earthquakes in one place after another. It wasn't until just recently that the earthquakes have become greater in intensity. There are the other signs too - disease around the world is becoming worse, heart disease and cancer is everywhere. Famine is worse - 1 in 10 people around the world go to bed hungry. Violence is more prevalent, especially in families as foretold in 2 Timothy 3:1-5. That there would be no natural affection in families. Yes, we are on the verge of the "Great Tribulation" foretold in the Bible. Another sign that many people foget about is something that Jesus said, "That the Good News would be preached in all the nations of the world before the end comes." That work is being done and has been done for decades in 236 lands and in at least 188 languages by Jehovah's Witnesses around the world.
