An organized group with a desire to draw near to God in a similar fashion.
Religion to me is only a man-made word which is a right given to me by the United States constitution. What is more important to me is my faith in an all-knowing omnipresent God who is in control of the universe. I have the freedom to worship God through that faith!
it is the morphine which calms the people and destroys the thinking power of mind.
It's a way of knowing God. Worshiping and praising your creator, so that God can give you good in this world and in the hereafter.
it's an iron chain that traps man upon drawing near to the Lord it really hinders us from having a real relationship with Him because of it's doctrines, formalities etc
God and I consider our relationship precious.
Both of us prefer a direct one to one relationship and needs no interference from religions, religious authorities and their interpretations.
After all if God is in me, I need no help from religions. He brings more joy, love and truth than any religion can provide.
Literally nothing. I live my life day to day and never think of religion or god unless i'm on hubpages reading questions.
Religion is a group of any spiritual believer, and/or any spiritual faith.
It is a credence man makes for themselves to give them some sort of identity or purpose.

I love religion and everything that comes with it, but I simply get it as a way of being moral towards others. People wrote the bible that was composed of many stories of wisdom to get the people respecting each other, and do less war. That is the same for every religion that exists. Do you agree...

Are there any organized religions based around facts and logic?I am only a little familiar with a few religions, but it seems that most of them require a large amount of blind faith. Are there any organized religions based around facts and logic? If such a group does exist, can it...

I feel that believing in one religion is not practical. Likewise, there is no way of knowing if there is one God, or any God for that matter. I'm not saying there's not either, though I do trust science it only goes so far... Some things will always be left unexplained. The bottom line is that with...

What brought you to your religion? Any religion (or for those who have fallen out of belief - why?)I'm interested in people's stories. Those who were brought up in the same religion they follow now, those brought up without and have found one, those brought up with one religion and now...
