Do you believe we should be keeping the laws in old testament, eg Passove next week.
n\New to this site. Do you believe we should be keeping the laws in old testament, eg Passove next week.
We keep Passover and the Feasts of the YHWH because they are His feasts and He told us to keep them forever. There are verses in Zechariah 14 which say that during the millenial reign of Jesus, those who do not go up to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles, no rain will be given to them...When we keep the feasts, it's such a blessing to be able to see Jesus and His life in each one. And it is also such a blessing to see Jesus in the feasts and in what is to come.
I believe we should also try to keep the laws of the Torah as best we can, not because we believe that this is what will get us in 'good' with the LORD or will get us to Heaven - because that is only done by the blood of Jesus and Him being our Passover Lamb - but because He knows what is best for His people.
No, 'Old testament' was in most part written for the descendants of Abraham. Unless you are Israeli or Jewish; there is not value for you to maintain Old Testament laws.
Sure, tradition passed down for generations is worth keeping, especially if it's the word of God. There are some nutritional benefits, too. See my recent hub:

I am not saying this litterally, I just think that the ideas are very much the same. Buddha saved us from desire and Jesus saved us from our sins. The idea is that the early Hindu and Buddhist teaching, spread west and were adapted to fit the culture. In India and China, the Buddhas were...
