What do you do when your going through "spiritual darkness?"

When your prayers are unanswered and you feel utterly alone.

I begin by reading God's Word. The book of Psalms brings comfort and assurance. Examine oneself for any underlying, unforgiven sin or lack of following God's will. Then hold fast to your faith and continue in prayer. God's timing is not our timing, but His timing (in answering prayer) is always perfect.

Read the Book of Psalms, yes I agree. It really happens to everyone in some time or another but there is a way out. God's word is the way out. Hearing from HIM is key.

I know God had me fast and pray so I could get closer to HIM and hear HIS perfect will for the situation. At the time my own thoughts was blocking HIS word.

I had to renew my mind and exchange HIS thoughts for my thoughts. Start to Praise God in the middle of the storm even though you don't feel like it. Also having another spirit filled person of the same faith believing with you.
Renewing your mind with empowering words of comfort is key.
In every possible way, saying it out loud, hearing it, visualizing the breakthrough and keep it up, our faith works through love.
