Satan is the King of Demons.Demons are subjects to Satan.A Demon Does Satan's will.
Just like Coca-Cola is a carbonated drink but all carbonated drinks are not Coca-Cola, Satan is a demon but all demons are not Satan.
My unabridged dictionary says a "demon" is any malignant or evil spirit, while "Satan" is Chief of the fallen angels.
In spite of SpiritPhilosopher's, ah, interesting answer, the correct one is that Satan is the leader and all the others follow. When Satan was Lucifer in Heaven, he was the one who led the angels in revolt, after which God cast a third of the angels out of His presence. Satan is the ruler of this world, but God is the true ruler of everything.
