Does quirks define how interesting a person is?

'Quirky' is, I guess, another description for ~ personallity traits.
If harmless, they are tollerated. If annoying, then not so much.
My boss makes this unusual sound when she eats something that she is apparently enjoying, kind of like . . . num, num, num. It doesn't bother me, I find it endearing. My co-worker believe this behaivor is 'strange' and not at all 'interesting'.
Perspective is in the eye of the beholder I suppose.
If we were not all completely different, what a dull and boring world this would be.
