Do you feel that a Christian should run for or hold a political office?
Absolutely!!!!! If we as Christians don't like the way our communities or country is going then how else would we change things? What I mean is that it is not enough to elect officials who promise us certain results, but we need to have some in office with the conviction to fight for something on their own and not be swayed by lobbyists and other polititians. "The only thing evil men need to triumph is for good men to do nothing."- Edmond Burke
of course they should, so should anyone else with any other religious beliefs, Muslim, HIndu, Jewish, Wiccan, atheist or no religious belief at all. If you want to bring your values to the country, you have the right to try, but you also need the votes to get you in!
Religion and politics are completely different things.
Whereas your religious conviction could affect your political points of view, it shouldn't matter if you're religious or not.
I feel as though any individual has the right to run for office, however, their religious beliefs are not to be used as a reason for running. A person's individual religious beliefs are for them and them alone, and should not factor in how other people live their life.
When a person runs for office, they should have the ability to see a greater/larger picture and if unable to do so, then they shouldn't be elected to office. Those with a religious belief are limited in thinking, simply because they see the world in only one view and that is damaging to the rest of society and/or humanity.
Keep religious beliefs out of political offices and the country would function much more easily and a lot more happier.

Why do Christians feel the need to tell us about their religious beliefs?I don't have a problem with Christianity or any religion for that matter, but I view religion/spirituality as a personal and privvate matter and feel that it's best kept that way unless one is specifically asked to expand on...
