If you thought a family member or friend was in a cult, would you try to get them out of it?
How far would you go, if at all, to help a friend or family member who was held in the grips of a religious cult?
If I thought they were in danger, of course. My first action would be to get as much information about the "cult's" beliefs though. I would point out any flawed reasoning, about the cult, in an attempt to convince the cult members of it's invalidity/errors. I would escalate from there.
If one of my kids was trapped my life would become, my existence, would become their rescuing. Everything else would be secondary.
