What impact would the return of Jesus Christ be to life as we know it?

What would the impact be on this planet when Jesus Christ returns and he does in such a way that everyone now knows He is the one. How would just Him being back affect Life as we know it? Not the things he would do but just Him being back now look at humanity, what is happening? The economy, societies, other religions, politics, the enormous frenzy it would cause, would he need a guard(s), would he have to run for election, How would he dress? Think of the total in detail impact just His return alone would have on every person and how they go about life and the changes?

lovin' the pic! I think many people would run, others would follow and some would carry on as normal. The story would probably go similar to that of the bible, just with a more modern approach.

If you read Matthew 13:47-50 you find that Jesus actually said that when he comes back, it's not a very good scene.  The righteous (believers) are separated from the evil (rejecters) and the evil people are all summarily executed.  You might see as high as an 80% kill rate over the course of just a few days.

A lot of people don't like to hear this type of thing.  They might even say stuff like, "Jesus is going to make Hitler look like school boy kicking a cat".  They don't realize that Hitler was a man and Jesus was God.  God owns everything and can toss anything in the trash that he wants to.  He already did it once with the Flood.  Kept 8 alive and slaughtered all the rest.

I like to think of it like the US and nuclear weapons.  Other countries might have them, but the US can always say "Look, we're the original nuclear power, and we are the ONLY nation who has ever pulled that trigger.  Don't THINK that we won't do it again."

Same with God.  He can say, "I'm God and I already destroyed the whole of humanity once....don't THINK I won't do it again."  In fact, in the last chapter of 2 Peter, that's exactly what he does...only the wording is a bit less....harsh.
