    Are we energy beings?

I really can't believe that we are just these bodies. In my opinion, we are some form of energy being. What do you guys think? Any ideas?

I believe we are energy beings-my beliefs only:  I believe our spirits live on even after our physical body passes.  Spirits are energy.

Your beliefs mirror my own exactly!

After all, science does prove that we are all made of energy, no?

      Thanks for answering. Good answer!

No, we are not energy beings.

    Spirit is non-physical (non: space-time-energy-matter).

So, if you want to go to Heaven, you have to give up all attachments, including your precious ego. And humility is the antidote to ego. You have to give up everything that is important.

Can anyone go to Heaven while their body is still alive? Certainly! Because the kingdom is within you.

Christ's "everlasting life" was about continuity of consciousness. While ego still has the upper hand, consciousness ends at physical death. Restore the Holy Spirit within and consciousness exists regardless of the physical state.

Energy is created with persistence. It contains dichotomies, as does everything in physical reality (ego included). Spirit is a source of creation (after all, formed in the image and likeness of the Heavenly Father). Spirit contains no dichotomies, but only the perfections.

Dichotomies? Remember the forbidden tree in the Garden? Good-evil? Other dichotomies are generous-selfish, wisdom-stupidity, and compassion-indifference. The perfections are like a one-sided coin -- good without even a spot of evil, or confidence without even a spot of doubt. You need this kind of perfection to walk on water.

      Thanks Lone77star.

Interesting answer. Thanks for explaining Dichotomies.

Despite the obvious faith you have, no-one, not even the greatest scientist can say exactly what we are. We are close, but there is so much we don't know, I think. Thanks.

Absolutely and without question!  The opposite of energy is inertia.  We can be resting or lazy, but without energy we can't create, move, work or have fun.  On a deeper level, I personally believe we are all part of the same primary energy that created the universe.  It is the current that runs through all living matter.  LOVE the question, Richawriter!

Excellent answer! I couldn't have put it any better myself. smile

This primary energy you talk of must be God - the creator. The bible says we are all made in his image, he resides within us all. Thanks smile

That is about as succinct as an answer can get! Good job. Excellent point too. Somtimes the simple can also be profound.

Energy is the key. Thanks for your answer Universal Laws. smile
