Have you had your ads disabled?
Ads were disabled on one of my Hubs because of inappropriate material. The censored material, however, was a direct quote from the Bible. I checked KJV, NIV, and NRSV and the word was the same in all translations. I just think it is funny that I had to censor the Bible.
Now you've got my curiosity piqued. I know you don't want to write the word here again, but how 'bout book, chapter and verse so I can look it up?
Job 12:25... According to the censors, the verse is obscene.
Wow! It must not take very much to be considered obscene nowadays, which is funny because we currently live in a world that is more lewd than ever... I've had controversial Hubs have the same problem, but I just move them to other sites and go on.
The censorship is based on Adsense rules, which are very strict. Adsense wants family friendly content only - anything on sex, suicide, drugs, cigarettes, alcohol or sensitive topics is likely to get your adverts turned off - or if you don't have them turned off you risk being banned.
I am also 'a frog in the same well'. One of my short story telling the hardship of a tribal child is also, fell in, the Ads were disabled. I do not know why it so. I done reference in the learning center but there only general guide lines. If some one help I am thankful.I want to know the exact point, so to avoid such things in future alos.
serrituck, thank you for your question.
The 'content filter' here seems to be extremely sensitive. I know I've had some controversial Hubs that had the same problem, even though there was nothing obviously wrong and definitely wasn't crude, lewd, adult or profane, but I just moved 'em over to another website and was done with it. Your little Bible verse wasn't obscene at all...
Like WryLilt said, AdSense is very strict, when compared to other advertisers...
They disable mine too, even though it's to support MY cause website. Nothing offensive, yet they don't want it. And my cause is to help stiffen punishments on child abusers.

I was pretty surprised that ads were disabled on my recent post about Akin's "legitimate rape" comment. Rape, although sensitive, seems to be an important issue to discuss and learn about. And, certainly, a politician's ridiculous comments about it should be examined. Do you think...

This probably is one of the worse days of my life, after so much effort I have put online, here I stand with my Adsense account disabled due to invalid click activity. I don't have any clue why this happened! I have been here at Hubpages for more than 3 years and make more than 90% of my earning...

Yesterday I was confidant that e-mailing HP staff would result in the ads being turned back on, on the four hubs (and counting) of mine that have had their ads disabled. This was not the case, and I was told by HP staff that all four would remain ad-less for being against the Google TOS.Do...

I've been busily chucking out articles, with 5 now completed, and another 6 in progress.I am afraid I am very new to all of this, and am just trying to navigate my way around the site and how it all works.I've got...

Awesome. Just awesome. Right when my hubs were starting to take off and I was actually earning daily, this happens.I've never done anything against google's TOS so I've been completely blindsided. I filled out an appeal and google says they'll be back to me in a week. I can't believe google treats...
