Which religion do you think really prohibited interest?

The religion which severely censured those who took ribâ (interest), and declared them to be at war with God and His Prophet. It also established a clear distinction between trade and ribâ (interest)?

Certainly Islam warns in strongest words “O you who have believed, do not consume interest, doubled and multiplied, but fear God that you may be successful. And fear the Fire, which has been prepared for the disbelievers.” (Quran 3:130-131)

Islam and Mormonism. They clearly prohibit interest from outside sources. Islam being very prohibitive, as well as Mormonism as to who they associate with.

Apart from Islam, Judaism disallows Interest as mentioned in the Old Testament – Exodus 22:25, Leviticus 25:35-36, Deutronomy 23:20, Psalms 15:5, Proverbs 28:8, Nehemiah 5:7 Christianity also prohibited Interest as Catholics don’t allow Interest
