In simple words what does this scripture actually mean
The bible says "Matt 6:33-34 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. " What does this mean in simple words that anyone can understand?
It mean that first and foremost our goal should be focused on God (as King), knowing that has Kingdom is a ever lasting Kingdom . To further seek and receive through Faith His grace through which we receive His righteousness in Christ. In doing so we will receive all things.
God question Celafoe. God bless.
The answer is in the preceding verses---the context. It means that those who choose to follow Christ's commands over all else will have their needs supplied. The "all these things" are human necessities.
When we live in Christ, following the law of loving God and neighbor, we will have life, and have it abundantly. This does not mean riches or objects, really, but LIFE that is enjoyable and glorifies God.
What it means to me is to put God first in your life always. Our reward awaits us in his kingdom.
Christians are now in His Kingdom. see Calebs answerI
Luke 17:21 nor will they say, 'See here!' or 'See there!' For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you." Christians live in it NOW, we are in this world but not of it. see 1Cor 15:24 also
... purpose for your being here (on this planet ) is in f I r s t place to maintain and expand God's dominion. This far you've heard - as I ( Jesus ) have told you what's right in God's sight,- His will ; go ahead do this first, the rest is given to you by your Heavenly Father, as you've rejected Satan's rule over you.
We can't separate this verse fom " repent, for the kingdom of heaven has drawn near" ( Matt 4: 17 ).
