    Will atheists and Christians settle their differences and agree on core commonalities

    We're all human beings, and it is a shame if we don't see eye to eye, or accept each other's differences.

    i think atheist and Christians do share common ground. especially when it comes to things like morality. im curious as to what you mean by accept each others differences. some people mean the relativistic view. what true for you is true and what true for me is true. this i can buy into. if you mean still treat each other with respect despite our differences, that i think most people do. its only the extreme on either side that cant seem to

      I agree entirely, that the extremes on both sides tend to mistreat one another, whereas those with a more moderate view eschew hatred in favour of tolerance and/or acceptance.  By differences, I meant differences in belief i.e. belief vs. non belief

    I think the best common ground between atheists and Christians is humanitarian efforts. There are numerous organizations on each side working to better the lives of the sick and the poor. So, we should do more to come together to solve these problems rather than worrying about our motivations for doing so.
