What is/are the significant of palm tree?
The vine hath dried up, and the fig-tree languisheth, the pomegranate, and also the palm-tree, all joy hath dried up from the sons of man (Joel 1:12).
The righteous shall flourish like the palm-tree; he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon (Ps. 92:12);
Palm trees are beautiful, mostly branchless, long, strong with evergreen leaves. They can be universally found in any type of lands and climates; even in deserts or at water resorts. So palm tree signifies elegance, beauty, evergreen charm, valor, peace, high spirits and naturality,etc. So one that possesses all or many of these qualities is compared to palm tree.
The significance, to my understanding, is that the palm tree is especially durable. Also, in a hurricane, it will bend but not break. Thus, it is equated to the strength of the human spirit.
Humm!
