What is the reason you became saved?
I have always told myself if I am going to be saved it because I am ready to be saved. My goal is to not be a sunday christian and a saturday night sinner. Is it a waste of time?
I have no idea why I became what you call "saved" what others call "being born again" or of "being born of the Holy Spirit" perhaps. I will text this though; I do feel it happened when I was comatose or if you will, passing to death. I was not a "bad" person before. I am less of a sinner now. I received what some call "revelation" when I was comatose. I am aware that He sees everything. Nothing is unseen from Him. Thus, there is no need to bring people to justice when they participate in evil. There will be justice when they pass and the persons that were victimized were taken care of quite nicely when they indeed passed. Perhaps some people are indeed rescued from this world when they suffer death or suffering followed by death not unlike a successful SEAL team rescue. I had my best confession after my comatose experience because I finally understood that I had let Him down and felt compassion for Him not unlike how I felt when I disappointed my most wonderful parents. I know I will most certainly make mistakes or disappoint Him again; however, I will indeed feel disappointment for this and strive to minimize or ideally eliminate this. I feel Him everywhere now and I truly believe those so called coincidences are actually the Hand of God. I lost my fear of death after my experience and truly believe there is little to worry about.
Thus, with regards to you I have no idea when it will happen yet the change will indeed be significant. It will indeed change you and I believe you will do everything possible not too disappoint Him.
The reason? If you have never made Jesus the Lord of your life, then you are separated from God by sin. You are the reason God sent Jesus to the cross. John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” God loved you so much that He gave His only begotten Son for you.
The Bible says God made Jesus, who knew no sin, to be sin for us. Sin was the reason Jesus came to earth. He died on the cross and went to hell for one reason: to pay the price for sin. Once that price was paid, Jesus was raised from the dead, triumphant over Satan; and the sin problem was taken care of.
God does not hold your sin against you. The only thing keeping you from becoming a child of God is failure to turn from your present world and your present god, which is Satan, and make Jesus the Lord over your life.
So the only reason to be saved is that Jesus paid the sin price for you, He was your substitute. Heaven has it recorded that you have been set free. But that doesn’t mean you will automatically go to heaven. Even though God sent Jesus to pay for your sin—even though He holds nothing against you—you can still go straight to hell. Why? Because you have not made the choice to receive Jesus as your own personal Lord and Savior, to accept His sacrifice as yours. You have a free will. You have the right to choose your own destiny, God will not force you to receive salvation. The choice is yours. You can go straight to hell and God will not lift a finger to stop you. He did all He is going to do when He sent Jesus into the world.
Many have no idea of what being saved means. You cannot be saved until you first confess (agree with God) that you are a sinner, lost, on your way to hell, and you are in need of a Savior.
Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Salvation takes place the very moment that you accept or embrace Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, totally trusting in the complete and finished work of Jesus, receiving His Life, Death, Burial and Glorious Resurrection as full payment for your past, present, and future sins. Romans 10:9-10
Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.
What do you mean by saved? I wouldn't say i was saved but i believe i had an awakening. When my 20 year old brother, who was also my best friend, died in 2012 i was "saved" of grief by a medium. By chance i went with my father to see a medium and i was a little sceptic but she proved to me the continuous existence of the human soul and that we don't die; we live forever and i can still feel the presence of my brother in spirit as strongly as if he was right here with me incarnate. Thus, my religious beliefs are that of Spiritualism.

It is the general belief that no sinner is God’s friend. And different people have different concepts of what sin is, and hence, who a sinner is. Therefore most people assume that they are in right standing with God, based on their own personal or religious conception of sin and righteousness. It...

Do you think the knowledge of the person is saved in his brain or in his spirit?Science claims the brain is the depository of all human knowledge. The scripture recorded "what things soever a man so knoweth save the spirit of man that is in him and of God, the spirit of God".

How Does A Christian Know If They Are Saved Or Not?
by vector7 8 years ago
This is simply for Christians to share and discuss the prophecies they may know well, and/or better than some of the rest of us. It is for edifying and educating each of us further in understanding our God's Word. Though I posted it for prophecies, I think it would do us well to share scriptures in...
