What the rich and the poor have in common?
Rich and poor have this in common: the Lord is the Maker of them all (Proverbs 22:2). In your opinion, what they have in common?
The need for salvation. All have sinned and come short of the glory of God. There is none righteous, no not one. Without the shedding of blood, there is no remission.
Proverbs 2:21-22 For the upright will dwell in the land, And the blameless will remain in it; But the wicked will be cut off from the earth, And the unfaithful will be uprooted from it.
This applies to everyone. The reason for being cut off and uprooted is our transgressions of the things of God. Repent turn away from those transgressions and God will remember them no more.
We are not cut off and uprooted because we are rich or poor but because of what we have done. To become upright and continue to dwell in the land we must have our transgressions forgiven.
Transgressions cannot be forgiven without the shedding of blood. In the past the shedding of the blood of animals that haven't sinned against God was accepted as a covering for our transgressions.
Today there is no longer any additional sacrifice need as Christ shed His sinless blood once for all. This sacrifice was accepted by God as payment for all that will repent, turn away from their sins and call upon the name of Jesus.
The fact that Jesus was a human just like us should give us hope in that we can also turn away from sin as He did His entire life. Because of His sinless life there is hope for all rich or poor. Christ although tempted did not sin. His Father said that Christ was His Son and in Him He was well please. Because of the blood of Jesus, as we repent and sin no more the Father can be pleased with us as well.
They are sinners in thisworld, we all are. Jealousy is one of them
