The Voynich Manuscript: The Book Nobody Can Read: Is it a form of Zaum?
What if the Voynich Manuscript is an genuine cryptographic text which could in principle be decrypted to yield information? Or is it a colossally elaborate hoax currently doing just what it was intended to do? Zaum is "beyonsense", defined as experimental poetic language characterized by indeterminacy in meaning. Could the Voynich Manuscript be not a hoax but a Latin Zaum? (IE 'pig-latin)
I did a story about this (will be republishing it soon). If I remember from my research, this book was so mysterious that many researcher were not sure what to make of it. Was it a code, was it gibberish or a hoax? It contained a lot of unfamiliar words, phrases, and pictures. Zaum, as you mentioned it, may be the most appropriate way to label it. Then again, anything goes with this manuscript.
