What is life beyond death?
Quite recently I've been thinking a lot about death. It could be my age and the coming of my 25th birthday. But questions arise to what happens to us after death? Do we go to heaven or Olympus as whatever religion we practice tells us? But are there people out there who really experienced what happens and have come back to tell the tale? Death terrifies me, and the thought of it sends me into an anxiety induced panic attack. What is everyone's thoughts on this?
In the Christian faith, death is not terminal; it is a transition. That transition moves up to a glorified state in heaven with God forever.
Therefore, death is not something to be feared per se, but rather the movement from a temporary, perishable existence to an eternal, imperishable one.
P.S. If you are 25 you need not think of death for a very, very long time.
To me it doesn't seem like a long time. With all the video games I've played (like Mass Effect) and even our very own creatures and plants here on Earth, they all live much longer than us. It just puts it into perspective of how little time we have.
Focus on what you can do with your life. How you can make an impact on the lives of others so that you remain in their memory. That is the only form of "life after death" that most will get.
Focusing on the next life will make you forget about your current one.
So when you start panicking, thinking about how you could die, focus on what you can do to feel like you are living. Go look at something beautiful, play a board game with someone you know. Go out drinking with friends.

Do you hope for new life beyond physical death? All differences in theism or a-theism aside, would you want to be resurrected? Would it hurt to consider the possibility of an afterlife, how might this hurt us, when we say we have an open mind, do we feel pressured to say yes or no?Another thought,...

Can God exist?People say that miracles happen everyday. Maybe miracles do happen. As I see it, we cannot see, hear, or know God until we die. And even then, we do not know if anything is beyond death. Without knowing what is beyond, how can we truly say that god exists?

Have you ever lost a "real world" friend due to ignorant Facebook rants? My heart is hurting because I have a lifelong friend whose path took a real radical departure from my own. He and his wife claim to respect our family, despite the fact they are "born again" Christians...

There is no afterlife, I believe that when we die that is it, and to be honest we are all in the same boat, so it doesn't bother me at all. The easter bunny would be a much more credible idea than a 'soul' floating up to an eternal world where everything is perfect forever. Is the thought that there...

Why is it that some people believe that they will remain even whence their physical bodies are gone? Does science back this up? Does scripture?
