Is God in fact a woman?
After the not so recent incident where the Catholic priest from Massachussetts was officially dead for more than 48 minutes before medics were able to re-start his heart. During that time, Father John Micheal O’neal claims he went to heaven and met God, which he describes as a woman. It arises the question is God in fact a woman?
Lol, that's funny. God said to Moses, "I AM." He is who and what He is. Since when does the created define the Creator. He will reveal himself to whom He wills when He wills. Maybe father John Michael O'Neal needed to see God as a woman for God to impact him. A good book to read along this vein is The Shack.
Scripture says God is Spirit
Scripture says no one has ever seen God
Don't know what Mr. O'neal saw but my bet is that it wasn't God.
I find it interesting that none of the accounts in scripture where people were brought back from the dead is there a story by the revived about what they "saw".
How can one say what Mr. O saw? All I KNOW is GOD can manifest HIMSELF in any form. Don't LIMIT GOD! If HE manifested HIMSELF as a lowly man (I Tim 3:16), I'm sure HE could also a woman if HIS WILL!
I know that the entire story is a lie, so he saw nothing. Your personal beliefs are misplaced when you reference them to a lie, but nice try. I don't believe Jesus was God you know that so stop the harassment.
No, it doesn't.
If you are Catholic, dogma established over 2000 years says god is male.
If you are other faiths, the deities can have other forms, including female.
The overwhelming evidence from Genesis is that God is a man. The reason is that animals came to God as Adam's COMPANION before Eve. God created MAN first, in HIS likeness, and Eve was an after thought.
Yes, and when She made man, She was only joking.
That was a feminist joke back in the 1970s, by the way.
Some of them are, lol. At least in my religion-- we're polytheistic.

First, for my brothers and sisters in Christ, I believe grace through faith is the only way of salvation. I do not believe God or the Bible are short of the real meaning of fact or factual. We are addressing the unbelieving mind here, Proverb 26:4-5.Now, as to the subject, sometime back...

If Jesus had to be crucified to fulfill His mission on earth, why is Judas considered His betrayer?According to Matthew 27:5, "So Judas threw the money into the temple and left. Then he went away and hanged himself." So obviously he was not motivated by greed, hated what he'd been forced...

Does God have feet? This question is pondered because of a very interesting conversation I witnessed yesterday. It pertained to the spirit of Adam. He no doubt had spirit within him. He breathed the very breath of God. However, when God said, "in our image" could he have meant, his...

As a Christian who believes Jesus is the one God, how do you interpret John 14:16, 28 and 15:10,21?
