Hearing you will hear, and not understand;and seeing you will see,and not perceive; For the hearts of this people have grown dull.Their ears are hard of hearing,And their eyes they have closed,Lest they should understand with their hearts and turn,So that I should heal them. The salvation of GOD has been sent to us,GOD loved us so much that he gave us his own son,and who ever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life.He who believes is not condemned;but he who does not believe is condemned already. The light has come into the world, and men loved darkness instead, because there deeds were evil.

As I've said before the scriptural passage that keeps ringing as a red flag each and every day is the one that states men's hearts will fail them.  This is sad to see.  The loss of integrity, focus, hope, faith and personal purpose is growing exponentially among the believers and non-believers alike.  It is an epidemic battle.

I agree with that passage you've stated.  The key word is "believe".  It is an action word meaning there is much more to it than just stating "I believe in Jesus" and expect salvation to just rush in.  Great care must be taken in considering that particular word.

      Thanks for posting!

Sorry for the colloquialism! Australia has a lot of working dogs, so I guess the saying may have come from that. Working dogs, as you probably know are very tough.
A kangaroo ripped one of our dogs guts open. I was just a kid, but dad got me to wash the guts. (it was on the ground outside my dog) put it back inside, then sow him up with a big sowing needle and some strands of bailing twine. He hardly winced!
            That was a brown dog.

              Oh my!
It took guts to do that, and that dog was a gutsy strong dog too.  Poor creature and you both have more nerve than I would.  Cool story.

earnestshubposted 13 years agoin reply to this

In the "bush" in Australia when I was a kid, this was not even that unusual. We lost a few hunting dogs to kangaroos. 2 were drowned by roos in water holes, and another so badly busted up we had to shoot him on the spot. A hard life. My dad's view of life was only kill to eat, but we had to eat! lol
My dad used to say if you can't kill an animal and skin and gut it yourself, you have not learnt respect for it and should not eat it. I would not try to teach that to my city bred kids and grandkids! lol

    Good morning Brenda
Unfortunately we can not focus on everything at the same time.
When we focus on one thing.. there are many others that we can not see. I guess that is a good thing too. And why we need each other
If we could see everything at the same time we would be crazier than we are.
That is a scary thought.. Me being even crazier than I already am. ... ooh

I remember trying to post an answer to you Jerami the other day;  my internet cut off and it didn't get posted....

Anyway, I wanna reply now because it's such interesting things you said.

It is said that we humans only use a certain percentage of our brain power (whatever that is...lol!)
I think that's because our senses (sight, touch, hearing, etc., aren't as powerful as our brains are.  You're right, we cannot focus on everything at once.   When we attempt to do that,  we "overdrive our headlights".
But don't you think there's a purpose in narrow focus when it comes to Biblical things?

haha you're funny too;  "crazier than you already are"......I concur also!   There may be only a thin line between my current state of mind and moderate insanity.  (But what the heck? --we're in good company I say...ha)

Me to. I have had a horrified response telling my very sophisticate well educated grandchildren how that beautiful cut of meat hits the table and how their great grandfather would want them all to be able to do the slaughtering themselves.

No quark, gun owners have very strict laws to adhere to, even collectors like my uncle who makes his own ammo must account for all of it, and securely lock ammo making components and guns in two different places.
