Hearing you will hear, and not understand;and seeing you will see,and not perceive; For the hearts of this people have grown dull.Their ears are hard of hearing,And their eyes they have closed,Lest they should understand with their hearts and turn,So that I should heal them. The salvation of GOD has been sent to us,GOD loved us so much that he gave us his own son,and who ever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life.He who believes is not condemned;but he who does not believe is condemned already. The light has come into the world, and men loved darkness instead, because there deeds were evil.
As I've said before the scriptural passage that keeps ringing as a red flag each and every day is the one that states men's hearts will fail them. This is sad to see. The loss of integrity, focus, hope, faith and personal purpose is growing exponentially among the believers and non-believers alike. It is an epidemic battle.
I agree with that passage you've stated. The key word is "believe". It is an action word meaning there is much more to it than just stating "I believe in Jesus" and expect salvation to just rush in. Great care must be taken in considering that particular word.
Thanks for posting!
...Sadly, this prophecy will continue to fall on deaf ears....
although I hope SOME will heed....
this is the first time I've seen u post though you have many lol Welcome to hubpages
hey Brenda!
thx. and we take care of my mom-in-law for 4 yrs. and pray u find work and home
I weeded through my clothes the past three days and nothing tried to eat me lol and it's going okay...still searching for a job and a place to live. How ya been?
I'm okay. Just very occupied; we moved my Mom in with us last week to take care of her, so I'm rather scarce around here....or anywhere else but home! ha
I wish the best for you in finding a great job and a great roof over your head!
Thanks Breanda appreciate that.
That was sweet of you for taking your mom in. and yea I bet that keeps you occupied. Wish you guys all the best too
Well done Sir Dent and Brenda. Very nice to know you are caring for your loved ones. Hi crazd!
My Mother in law has been bedfast for a little over 3 months now. March will make two years that we have been caring for her.
Earnest, I have been missing your posts. Where ya been and how are ya?
Hi Sir Dent. I have been banned for being naughty! I am happy and well, hope you and yours are the same.
Wordscribe you are too funny! I did get a lot more done though!
I hear you. I had to take an HP sabbatical, Earnest. I was spending WAAYYYY too much time here on inane topics. I'm back at it now... In fact, spent about an hour writing rhymes with manlypoetryman about "man thongs". Come on, Laura! Sheesh!
I am waiting for my limerick brain to switch on!
Bloody awful! But thanks for asking. I have enough back pain to kill a brown dog!
...uhmmm, is there something particular about a brown dog?
Oh, I hope you feel better.....
Sorry for the colloquialism! Australia has a lot of working dogs, so I guess the saying may have come from that. Working dogs, as you probably know are very tough.
A kangaroo ripped one of our dogs guts open. I was just a kid, but dad got me to wash the guts. (it was on the ground outside my dog) put it back inside, then sow him up with a big sowing needle and some strands of bailing twine. He hardly winced!
That was a brown dog.
Oh my!
It took guts to do that, and that dog was a gutsy strong dog too. Poor creature and you both have more nerve than I would. Cool story.
In the "bush" in Australia when I was a kid, this was not even that unusual. We lost a few hunting dogs to kangaroos. 2 were drowned by roos in water holes, and another so badly busted up we had to shoot him on the spot. A hard life. My dad's view of life was only kill to eat, but we had to eat!
My dad used to say if you can't kill an animal and skin and gut it yourself, you have not learnt respect for it and should not eat it. I would not try to teach that to my city bred kids and grandkids!
I'm sure you would have managed it just fine. It is just circumstance that allows us to do what we do I think.
Thank you too SirDent; I truly appreciate it; my prayers go out for you and your wife as well.
Thanks earnestshub.
The order of the thread content seems to be outta whack from my view, showing up different than before.....maybe it's a glitch in my computer system or something...
No I think it may be hubpages Brenda, it has been misplacing posts all morning.
Look to the buttons top left-- you can choose "chronological" (the usual old way) or "Threaded"- the "new and improved way" -- or you can trip back and forth to see what you like best.
Oh okay.
Then it's not just me losin' my mind mind mind....haha
I hope not! If your mind is gone, then so is mine! .
Hey Earnest glad to see you again. where ya been? and UGH! lol hubpages is going slow for me for some reason...it's weird.
Same.... I guess it's about time to call it a night and see what tomorrow brings. I don't know about you but it's close to 11P here.
I guess that will be my "Go To This People And Say" - good night to all and especially to you Cosette and Crazdwriter who have acknowledged my presence this evening. Big day tomorrow. I am taking the kids in the congregation to the Temple in north Omaha, Nebraska to do some important work there. They will be getting a lot of their family work done.
Good night!
Goodnight to all my friends who live in yesterdays time zone!
7.30pm here. Saturday
Good morning Brenda
Unfortunately we can not focus on everything at the same time.
When we focus on one thing.. there are many others that we can not see. I guess that is a good thing too. And why we need each other
If we could see everything at the same time we would be crazier than we are.
That is a scary thought.. Me being even crazier than I already am. ... ooh
I remember trying to post an answer to you Jerami the other day; my internet cut off and it didn't get posted....
Anyway, I wanna reply now because it's such interesting things you said.
It is said that we humans only use a certain percentage of our brain power (whatever that is...lol!)
I think that's because our senses (sight, touch, hearing, etc., aren't as powerful as our brains are. You're right, we cannot focus on everything at once. When we attempt to do that, we "overdrive our headlights".
But don't you think there's a purpose in narrow focus when it comes to Biblical things?
haha you're funny too; "crazier than you already are"......I concur also! There may be only a thin line between my current state of mind and moderate insanity. (But what the heck? --we're in good company I say...ha)
May god give me this much power so that I can take all their pain
Earn:
..and I say "here, here to your Dad!
I was raised poor here in the USA.
My grandparents and foster families raised me.
I was taught to hunt FOR FOOD and to skin, dress and butcher my kills by my grandfather.
To kill for other than to feed yourself or family is the act of an arrogant bully.
I respect your Dad's attitude! :-)
Me to. I have had a horrified response telling my very sophisticate well educated grandchildren how that beautiful cut of meat hits the table and how their great grandfather would want them all to be able to do the slaughtering themselves.
We had wild cattle in Victoria, so I learnt to butcher a full sized beef carcass pretty young. I got a 12 guage Harrington and Richardson for my 11th birthday.
I got rid of all my guns when I moved to the city.
Earn:
You were raised well!
Are guns allowed to be carried in Australia?
I took the courses and have a concealed "carry" license here in the states.
No quark, gun owners have very strict laws to adhere to, even collectors like my uncle who makes his own ammo must account for all of it, and securely lock ammo making components and guns in two different places.
Lately we have had problems with knives as weapons in the cities. Geez! I hate crime!
I would enjoy knowing more about your upbringing. I bet it had some really great bits!
Earn:
REading your "stuff," I know you did too..lol
If I can get back into the writing mood I may try to bring some of it to life like you have.
...got "writers cramps" at the moment.
I'm gonna watch some octagon fights on TV...have a good'n..
ttyl...:-)

How Does A Christian Know If They Are Saved Or Not?
by JThomp42 10 years ago
The plan of salvation is not complicated at all. Why do so many make it this way when it is so simple. Accept Jesus into your heart, truly believe he died on the cross for your sins, and confess your sins with your mouth. Then strive to live a life that is pleasing to God. Notice I said...

I have had several experiences that I can only catagorize as angelic or heavenly interventions. Years ago I was saved from a major car accident. I don't know how it happened but it did. Just wondering if any of you have had angelic experiences?Would love to hear your stories.
